I stayed for two nights at this hostel. It was clean, confortable and cheap. They have rooms with and without air conditioning. I stayed with my boyfriend in a very small room next to the kitchen (almost inside It) which was private because It could not fit more than two beds. The Wi-Fi does not reach all the house, It...

Our trip to a monkey sanctuary was a highlight. The little monkeys are so playful and love to wrestle and bite each other. A Squirrel Monkeys mistook me for one of his own and stuck his teeth into my leg. To my discomfort it started to bleed. Luckily for me, Marcel at The Flying Dog made some phone calls and...

I stayed for 3 nights total at Flying Dog. I had a great time, the place is chill and people seemed laid back. I enjoyed hanging out with like-minded adventurers. Hotel staff (John)are very helpful and responsive to your needs. I will definitely go back if I am around next time. Free wifi and breakfast made it even a better...

I had a great time in flying Dog. Marcel, the guy who works there is great! He took us to a concert. That was so much fun. I would recommand the jungle tour they are offering you. It's the one from Jairo. Oh and the scrambled ergs for breakfast are great.

A simple budget hostel. We booked a private room with bathroom twice (before and after our tour). The second room was way more cleaner and more luxe than the first one. Big hostel near the river. Really friendly English speaking staff which even helped us when we needed to go to the police station and file a report (not related...

I stayed two nights here in a single room, with my very own bathroom and a hot water shower. These I consider luxuries here in the Selva. The place was clean, the people were nice and informative about tours and suggestions for eating, drinking and rabble rousing! I liked the place but moved to a slightly cheaper hostel after a...

Such an awesome hostel! Marcel is amazing, nothing is to much hassle. He has a wealth of knowledge about Iquitos and has many contacts. He organised me a local guide to take me to the markets within 15mins of me asking about it. It's very hot and humid in Iquitos so definitely spend the extra 4 soles a night for...

For 28 soles I got a bed in the dorm which I found expensive. I was about to find a place nearly as nice for 15 soles. It's clean but the location isn't ideal, it gets close to the barrio so there are always police positioned outside. Lot of dog poop on the malecon too. It's a good place to...

There's not an overwhelming choice of accommodation when it comes to Iquitos to be honest and the Flying Dog is fairly reasonable and a good value stay just for a night or two. The beds are comfortable and clean and the bathrooms are decent and were always very clean. The fans were good quality and really powerful and kept the...
