I had booked a room a month in advance, yet when I arrived at La Pascana, I was met by the bumbling doorman who insisted I didn't have a reservation and that all rooms were full anyway. He was quick to insinuate that it was my fault and that I must not have confirmed the reservation -- luckily I had... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. Rooms are nice and bright and surround a courtyard. The rooms are extremely clean and were cleaned every day we were there. Simple breakfast of fresh juice, bread rolls, butter/jam and coffee is included in the room rate. Single, double and triple rooms are available. Located just off the malecon, but despite its central location... More

Very welcoming. As a World Challenge group nearing the end of their expedition, it was blissful to be able to have a warm shower, breakfast included & also small enough rooms that were cosy but didn't echo. Such an amazing place. The staff went the extra mile. A special shoutout to Patty on the desk who dealed with all requests... More

This is a quaint little courtyard setting with several rental rooms and a coffee shop behind a secure entry. If you are from USA be prepared to experience some heat and humidity. There is no air conditioning, but the ceiling fan moves enough air to be comfortable. The shower has only one valve - cold. I think those things are... More

We stayed here after escaping the horrors of la casa del frances and liked it so much we came back after our trip downriver to Colombia. It's basic but clean and the staff are kind - especially the girl who is on reception in the mornings: she pretty much planned or day trips for us and even had a great,... More

This is a hostel-style place that delivers basic, safe, and mostly quiet accomodation in a central location. Do not expect luxury, but there is an en suite toilet and cold shower and a reasonably clean bed for a good price. A slowish wifi is available in the lobby only, and there is a coffee counter which we always missed by... More

We spent there one night after we came back from the jungle. It is very simple but clean and the owner is a nice chap. An advantage is the location in the centre, just 2 minutes to Plaza de Armas, the Iron House or to the Amazon lookout. The room we stayed was a micro-room but it had a private... More

The staff was super friendly, the cafe had great coffee, the garden courtyard is lovely and the wifi works there BUT the rooms were very dark, the floor and sink weren't clean and the mattresses were extremely musty to the point the smell overwhelmed the room. Our friends also found it to be too loud in the morning. We got... More

An absolutely good place to stay in Iquitos. We had a double room for 50 Soles per night before and after our tour to the jungle and could leave our luggage there, safely locked in a separate room. The double room we had was simple but spacious and clean and equipped with good moscito-nets. If you're a light sleeper, take... More

I think the reviews of these hostels and hotels would be more helpful if you knew the age of the reviewers. What's excellent to a 20 year-old backpacker may be view differently to a 40 year-old who's roughing it days are behind him! With that in mind, I am 40 and my roughing it days are behind me! We were... More
