Centered in Miraflores, this is a great place to base you stay in Lima from. The staff are super friendly and gave us a great map with locations to visit. There is free wifi, kitchen and plenty of space to hang out in.

This hostel is basic but in a safe location in Miraflores, albeit difficult to find. The staff are friendly and helpful in all areas. The rooms are basic and hot in the warmer weather. It is close to the ocean and a 15 minute walk to the city centre.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING! We stayed here for the first three nights on arrival to South America having read excellent reviews by Lonely Planet and on HostelWorld... boy were we disappointed! It was like we were at a completely different hostel to the one we had read about. The airport pick up was a total rip-off! You will pay less...

We arrived in the middle of the night and for this reason we had chosen the shuttle offered from the hostel and this worked out perfectly. The hostel itself is nice, comfy and clean. The staff is very helpful with getting around, organising taxis, ... The spanish lesson with Pedro (the owner) was super fun and helped a lot for...

We stayed at Family House Hostel for 3 nights when we first came to Lima. We'd just travelled 35hours from Melbourne and were greeted at the airport by a taxi driver arranged by the hostel. Family House was everything we needed - calm, friendly, helpful and homey. The staff are so lovely and so happy to help you with anything...

Stayed for 3 weeks. Did Spanish lessons, school almost next door. Was looking for a non-party hostel away from centre of miraflores. Hostel is just 100 metres from the coast with many beautiful parks. At night very quiet and if you need a party, 15 minutes walk to Kennedy Park.Small hostel with 2 dorms en-suite and double rooms. 24 hours hot water....

Location is ok and safe. 5 min. from the beach (surfing) but 20 min. from Miraflores center. For restaurants you need to walk a bit. Washing-places and little shops are just around the corner, Most rooms were clean. One shared bathroom was sometimes a bit dirty depending what guests did (shaving in the shower) but ok to use. Bed was...

The hostel is somewhat hard to find, but the friendly staff provided us with a good map of the city. Special thanks to Edward, who helped us connect with friends, navigate Miraflores, and made good recommendations on places to see.

We had nowhere booked when we arrived in Lima so we went with the lonely planet guide listed for the hostel. Upon arrival we soon realised it was not as "cheap" and great as the guide had proclaimed. It was expensive for what it offered. There were only 3 toilets to cater for the whole hostel (which were dirty), we...
