A beautiful old hotel in the heart of the historical part of Lima. It had many glamorous fixtures and fittings. The service was reminiscent of days gone by and the staff were outstanding. The room was serviced wonderfully everyday. Only issues was there was a...More
The hotel might be showing its age, but it is such a classy place. The position is very good on Plaza San Martin. The entrance is delightful with its glass domed roof. Our standard double room was, in fact, a suite with separate lobby, lounge,...More
The only things that will attract you to this hotel is history and location. Other than that, I would say that if I will have to choose next time , I will not pick this hotel again. The hotel is right in front of Plaza...More
I stayed here as I wanted to stay in the El Centro area of Lima rather than Miraflores. I'm glad I did as I felt I was in a 'real' part of the city rather than a tourist haven. The area is within easy walking...More
Our room (315)was large and cheap (USD60 on booking.com), and the hotel is marvelously and centrally located on San Martin.

As long as you settle your bill early in the day I think it is fine. There is always someone at the front desk though you may have to bang on the bell to get someone's attention. I arrived early for my room 10 AM. They made me wait until 2 PM before giving me a room, which was of very low quality. It faced the center ventilator courtyard that made a loud motorized noise. They did not give a higher quality room until 5 PM facing the streets, which had incredibly loud street noise. Even my trusty earplugs could not muffle the noise.

"Get room facing inside of the hotel for less street noise."
