Stayed here with my inca trail tour group and i would have called it more a bad hostel. The room we were put in was super damp and smelled like mould. Their was no such thing as hot water and the wifi pretty much did not work. It is located down a back alley and kinda scary during the night...

We stayed here as part of a G adventures trip. Interestingly most of the hotels we stayed in and were of this poor level. The hotel is reasonably well placed for the centre of the village however there are better placed hotels. It is a very basic place the room was dark and very brown. The beds were fairly uncomfortable...

We stayed at the Casa de Mama the night before catching the train to Machu Picchu. The hotel was clean, the rooms fine, and the staff pleasant. They had free wifi in the lobby - a little hit and miss in the room. Breakfast was included, and was good! Easily within walking distance to the town center, and the rail...

So based on my stay through checkout I would have probably rated this place 3 out of 5. The hotel is well located (but then again everything in Ollanta is, and is within walking distance of the train station). The hotel is clean and fairly comfortable, with everything you'd need for a base to operate from as you visit Machu...

Feel free to check my other feedback of hotels, I've not said this about any other hotel. It really was the worst I've ever stayed in. Firstly the location is good for the locakl ruins and for starting the Inca trail. However, Ollantaytambo is a small town so every place here is in a good location. On the down-side however:...

This hostal is kept very clean. Staff helpful and can speak some English, which is great. Hot water an issue - either none or very hot. Breakfast good. Bed very comfortable. Easy walk to town square and railway station for trip to Machu Picchu.

I think I've stayed at every place that Mercedes owns and operates and have enjoyed my stay at most. Mercedes is very personable and will make any arrangements that you need to ensure that your stay is everything and more than you could want. The hotel is located within walking distance of everything that you would want to see or...

The hotel is basic but it is clean. Our room was quite small but the beds were comfy so we had a decent nights sleep. The hot water was erratic - either very hot or freezing cold. The wifi didn't really work very well even in the public areas which was frustrating. The breakfast was basic and we had to...
