Sure, it's simple, no hightech, no fancy furniture - it's not a Hilton! BUT for people who are still adventurers inside, who have outgrown youth hostels but don't want generic hotel chains, it IS paradise. So friendly, so laid-back, the building is an old South...More
Stayed there for only one night thankfully, as we had an early flight the next day. Otherwise we would definitely have sought alternative accommodation.
No one at reception as it was a Sunday, but that was ok as it was clear which room we were...More
I stayed at the Paradise Inn for 3 nights in November 2014.
I had a split level room with the bedroom on the upper level. The room had everything I needed with a little kitchen, shower/loo and plenty of shelf and hanging space.
I stayed here during the weekend and was disappointed to find that there were no restaurants or stores open nearby (there was also no one at reception to ask for suggestions of where to go). Ended up subsisting on peanut butter and bread from the...More

You say it is an easy walk into town, I assume you mean Liapades Village, I see it is about 2.5 miles how long does it take to walk. I am travelling to the Paradise Inn next Sunday 25/09/2016. I also heed your warning about the lack of staff at weekends especially Sundays. Any idea of the taxi fare from the Airport to the Paradise Inn?

Hi there, the walk into the Ararua District - "town" took a little over 15 minutes at a moderate pace. Enjoy your stay, take some food with you for the weekend! I think an airport transfer is about NZ$20.

Hi, I would like to stay one night at the Paradise Inn, but it would require a late check in on a Saturday night (9.30pm), and check out on Sunday morning. Would this be possible? (I understand a lot of people don't work on Sundays)
Thanks for your help.
