This hotel is ideally located in the middle of town. Lots of traffic noise but near the ferry and all the shops and cafes. The building is old and in need of refurbishment. The staff are mostly friendly and helpful but when there are difficulties, they can be curt. Food trucks nearby at night give variety options for dinner.

We wanted a place to stay in Papeete close to the cruise dock. Didn't need anything fancy as we would have plenty of that on our 12 day cruise! We stayed 2 nights at the Tiara Tahiti Hotel. We chose a waterfront room...which happens to be right on Blvd de la Reine Pomare IV. A main road through town that...

This hotel is a quality budget hotel. My family & friends often stay at this hotel as a rest stop prior to taking an international flight. It is conveniently located in the center of town, within a short walking distance of shops & eating spots. The rooms are spotless. The staff are extremely hospitable. The convenience of a continental breakfast...

Pro: Excellent location close to port. We could walk to our cruise boat wharf. Also close to market and other shops Friendly staff. Very clean. Complimentary bottled water on arrival (not replenished daily) Con: Very noisy air conditioning. Basic facilities (no fridge) Situated on main arterial road - the high volume traffic never stopped. Uncomfortable (soft) bed and pillows -...

Excellent location for a late night arrival, or early morning check out. The hotel is definitely a two star but seeing as it's so close to the port, shops, and on the main drag, it doesn't need to be anything else. Although the room and bathroom were tired, both were clean with everything in working order. I wouldn't choose the...

This is nice, basic 1950's-like, local hotel, with friendly staff right on the Boulevard, across the street from the cruise ships...with restaurants, ATMs, banks, shops, and a small park...all within a few blocks. Helpful front desk staff will call nearby taxis and help make your introduction to Papeete enjoyable. Room was very clean, and bathroom met basic needs. Bed a...

Definitely not what I expected judging by advertising photo's, however it was clean. The bed was too soft and the pillows terrible ( foam filled pillows). The location was great only a short walk to shops. Disappointed no restaurant accept for breakfast - which we didn't try. The Food Trucks near the Information Centre - Great. Dined there every night,...

Definitely a two star hotel. It is no frills, a bit older but clean. Don't look for English TV. Don't get a room on the front or the road noise will keep you up. Very convenient if you are getting a cruise. We walked to the Aranui. Now, I must tell this story: We checked in and were given room...

This was just what we were after for our 2 night stay, we had a late arrival so great they have 24 hour reception. Had a beautiful view from our balcony and got to see our cruise ship Ms Paul Gauguin arrive in the harbor. Walking distance from the Papeete Markets and as we arrived on all saints day most...
