Honestly said, I was suspicious about this place, given that I have read all the previous reviews here. So I was prepared not to expect too much. The surprising thing is, that the hotel is really a decent place, in the center of the city. The National Palace of Culture, the main street "Vitosha" and all the other important points...

This is one of the cheapest hotels in Sofia. Given that, and given the usual 'features' of Sofia budget hotels, this is a decent place. Well positioned, a few mins from the metro, MDK and the main shopping street. Very friendly, helpful staff. Rooms well-priced. Beds comfortable. A reasonable restaurant and bar across the road. Offered free drinks with staff...

I have no idea how TripAdvisor gave a reword to this hell hole. But there you go they have it in the lobby. The "hotel" is smelly. The pictures are mostly fake. The entire place smells of suege and there is basicaly no heating. They do not have a provate parking as indicated but they ask you for your car...

Pity. Such a pity. Accommodation near the center. At first it seemed fine, almost English style. Instead, then, it has proved a hotel doesn’t rise to the occasion. All this the fault of managers, inhospitable, not kind, and that made very shabby location, untidy and the rooms don’t always clean. Bad connection in the rooms. Not be returning.

The House is located in the heart of downtown Sofia, the best possible location , an old restored house with personality and hospitality, very personable staff at your service, a home away from home .

The hotel the House is a great choice. It lies central, it is next to the subway and quite comfortable. The service is excellent, only the building is quite old and the rooms have old furniture. However, the price - service relation is great and the staff very friendly.

The hotel is nothing to do with the photos. It was a 100 years old building, it was a closed building where we slept. It needs an urgently restoration. Even if the next time will be free of charge I'm not going to sleep there. For more check the photos. I will not suggest to anybody.

We had a one bedroom apartment in another block near the main hotel and restaurant. The apartment is clean and tidy, nothing fancy. It doesn't have a kitchen. You probably don't need a kitchen as the food in Sofia is delicious and not expensive. The location is great, just one block away from the central district / square. There are...

We stayed for one night in Sofia (incidentally, the city is very interesting and merits longer). The guesthouse is located near to Vitosha Boulevard which is the city's main pedestrianised street, but manages to remain very quiet. The decor is rather dated and tatty, and the room was fairly small, but it was perfectly manageable for one day. Good value...
