Very old Hotel , very friendly staff with a great Location. A Like this Hotel because it’s also a Casino. You can you inside the casino and have fun. It’s very close to Multiplaza Shopping Mall and La Gran Via Shopping Center. Very close to Bars and Restaurant. For the price it’s a great Hotel
I stayed there got 2 weeks while I conducted research for my Phd thesis. The price was very affordable. It was walking distance from a number of restaurants in the area. I also had breakfast (a lot of options)and dinner at the hotel's restaurant. The room was very comfortable. The environment was very quiet and conducive to studying. There were many taxis parked outside of the hotel to take you anywhere and you can call and have the taxis pick you up where ever you are. This was a great addition which gave me a feeling of safety; given the current security climate in El Salvador. The hotel would benefit from an upgrade, but it truly delivers on comfort, affordability, and accessibility. I highly recommend hotel siesta.
25 of us stayed here last month for a mission trip. The beds are hard and so are the pillows but our stay was beyond anything we expected. Very kind and accommodating staff, that spoke English well enough for us. Breakfast was very hot and yummy. Very quiet and peaceful. Would certainly recommend to others. We had some air conditioning issues and had to call the front desk 2x. They came to our door within minutes. Although they could not speak English we communicated well enough and they fixed the issue.
I spent 4 nights in this hotel and the experience was nice. Their staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to some shopping malls and in a very safe area, very close to other important sports in San Salvador. I could say that a safe in the room was the only thing I missed but they have safety boxes at the front desk, you just have to request it at no charge. The food was delicious, not a lot of options but nice. Hot water was another problem since it seems not to be available all day, but you don't need it in a city like San Salvador. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay or business trips.
We stayed there for three night. 2 adults, 2 small kids. Everything was clean and kept up. The pool was likewise clean. The hotel is not fancy, more on the basic side, but we felt safe and secure. The breakfast was AWESOME! It was such an added bonus...lots of food and very tasty...that we would stay again. Service was good.
I stay one night for a little getaway with my wife, and the hotel is pretty much what you can expect from a 3 star hotel. They have a pool, nice rooms and the plus is: a casino and a great service. People here is very kind and the persons at the casino makes you feel comfortable even if it is your first time at a casino. The rate is around $60 half the price of a 4 star hotel in this city.
If you´re looking for a decent hotel during a business trip, Siesta can be a good option, though the rooms are outdated, they are clean and comfortable. They don´t have iron/ironboard, but you can ask for one at the front desk. the pool is very nice & big and with Salvador´s climate it´s a great option after a days work. The restaurant food is good and you can get room service. Internet connection is stable.
We stayed only for a weekend, and it's an average hotel, clean and acceptable. However, we were really dissapointed that some robbers broke into our car to stole our belongings IN THE HOTEL PARKING, and the "manager" did ANYTHING because "he was the shift manager and had no authority". So WTH was he doing there? We were not asking for money, or a refund, but they could have responded better. Now i'm going to El Salvador again, and we are NOT gonna stay again in this hotel, sadly. We will look for another one. Vamos a buscar otro.…
My sons and I stayed in this hotel while attending a nephew's wedding. It is located close to shopping centers and many other ammenities. There are food establishments and a grocery store within walking distance. The rooms are clean and the complimentary breakfast buffet provides a variety of tasty dishes. The personnel is ready available to help by calling taxis immediately and offering their advice on things to do and things to beware. Very good hotel for family trips.
Have stayed at Hotel Siesta in San Salvador many a time since the 1970s. My latest visit was in July 2009. It's a first-rate, moderately-priced hotel. It is clean, there is wireless, high-speed internet, and ample and tasty breakfasts are complimentary. The service is consistently friendly. It's my preferred choice in San Salvador.
