I try to avoid the bigger brand hotels and there are no shortage of these in Salvador the capital - actually i felt as if i was in the USA more than Central America when arriving through the city by road. El Savador is far more impressive than i was expecting and our tour company " Epic Tours" got every... More

Nicely managed hotel with good breakfast and a wonderful terrace with a garden full of flowers where it is good to sit and to write your report or memoirs. But just one room (#10) is quite acceptable according to European standards. All others have windows facing to the inside floors. You hear nearly always many different aircons running and all... Beautiful grounds and good service around the clock. My room was on the smaller side, but you get everything you need (including a fresh pitcher of filtered drinking water every day) for an amazing price. Breakfast is included and served in the amazing garden, but it's unfortunately the only meal of the day served at the hotel. My only real... More

The hotel is located on a quiet city street a few blocks from the university and a really nice park(up the hill). Security is high with locked gates and high walls. For El Salvador, its a neat clean hotel where you can "feel" the city. Breakfast was good and is provided in a tropical open air courtyard. Refreshing! Purified water... More

I would definitely stay here again. This not a high end hotel, but it is very very clean and the beds are very comfortable. I stayed here a week ago and yes there were three beds in the room for three of us, but who cares! The room was clean, had a/c, a safe, tv and always a hot shower.... More

Reserved a room for three and they put three beds in a single room side by side with absolutely no space between the beds, not even an inch (wall to wall). We asked them to get us another room but they did not care at all, no excuses, nothing, just saying the hotel was full. We were captive of our... More

This is a nice small hotel, in a safe, walkable neighborhood near the Univ. of Centro America. The rooms are fairly simply, cozy and clean. The garden downstairs where the included breakfast is served is beautiful. The staff is very helpful in all matters.

Arbol de Fuego is a wonderful place to stay in San Salvador, close to the UCA. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and will go out of their way to accommodate. The breakfast is great and plentiful. The rooms are simple, but are adequate.

I highly recommend this hotel. I arrived with my family late at night and the staff arranged a trustworthy taxi to pick us up. The hotel is very clean, safe with all the necessary amenities. It's also located walking distance from the two main museums and la Zona Rosa (nice area with restaurants and bars).

I have stayed at this hotel twice in my trips to El Salvador and I have loved in both times. The rooms are simple but cozy. The grounds are so pretty, most notably the courtyard where breakfast is served. I had a group of people and the feeling from them was very positive. The staff were very friendly and the... More
