We lucked out finding this place on our first day of a two week visit to Nic. It was so nice we decided to stay another in Managua. Nice breakfast, room AC was adequate and bed was comfy. The art and decor and landscaping were spectacular. If you are flying in to Managua and need a place for a day...

First of all, they change prices every night even during week days. It is pretty annoying. They said that they offer free taxi to the airport, but they dont. Very rarely there is somebody in the hotel who speaks English. Location is poor and prices for food and drinks are very high for Nicaragua. Shower is sometimes cold and we...

But not longer than a night or two. We stayed the night before we were to leave to go back home and we were grateful for the amenities. We were also thankful for the affordability. The bed, while kind of small and hard, was not totally uncomfortable. Loved that they offered fresh orange juice when we first got there. The...

We were looking for a hostal in the area when a local man recommended this hotel. We were flying out to the Corn Islands and then flying back to the U.S. and stayed here both nights prior to our flights and it was great! Not only are the building and rooms beautiful with hand carved doors, but it was clean,...

Hotel Don Quijote is a very nice hotel and we have stayed there about four times over the years. The problem has always been that in spite of the prices advertised on their website, they seem to charge whatever they feel they can get away with when you arrive, adding $20 dollars or more to the bill total. This is...

I recently gifted my mother with a trip to Nicaragua for Christmas and because we are a bit Americanized (She hasn't been back in 15 years!), she is not accustomed the lifestyle there. We didn't book a hotel in advance but rather she found it the day that she arrived while walking with one our relatives. My mom tells me...

My wife and I were traveling to Nicaragua with a place to stay outside of Managua, but our luggage didn't make our flight. We had to find a new hotel close to the airport. Our taxi driver told us about Hotel Don Quijote in la zona Bello Horizonte. They have modest rooms that were very clean with the following: air...
