We were greeted warmly. I was a bit concerned when the owner wanted to hold onto our passports until her husband returned in 30 minutes because she wasn't certain how to use the photocopier. Luckily, he returned sooner and I didn't need to leave my passport with her. Apparently, it is a regulation with immigration that they copy our passports....

We have a very early morning flight from Managua airport and wanted to stay somewhere with more character than the Best Western. Found Hotel International on this site and it has been a great choose. The owner could not have been nicer. He gave us directions to a great steak resteraunt 1 min walk away where we got 10% discount...

After visiting the Hotel Internacional Managua in February of 2014, I was delighted to find that I would be able to visit again in April. This time, my travel planner (my son) decided that, after a few nights in Managua, we would take two nights away from the city to visit the nearby town of Masaya. The owner of the...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night when we arrived in Managua. There seemed to be no one else in the hotel, but the service was outstanding. The room was comfortable, well air-conditioned and just what we needed before heading to Leon the next morning. As far as location, Managua was just a stop-over so I am not...

About $15, 10 min cab ride (after haggling) to the hotel. It was very clean, central and next to Main Street. Gated at night for security. Walking distance to the bus market to buy fruit and vegetable. Great breakfast. Not much more to ask for first night in Nicaragua. Staffs are super nice, warm, and attentive.

“this hotel is off the beaten path, not quite to the city center. my cab driver from the hotel had no problem taking me there. i didn't bother with the tourist markets or malls so i can't comment about the proximity. but everything in managua is taxis or walking anyway. i walked to a nearby local restaurant and had cold beer and good food. what else do you need?”
