I had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at Hotel los Robles. It is an unexpected but welcome oasis in the otherwise crazy city of Managua. Loved the beautiful courtyard and swimming pool. Breakfast was exceptional. Rooms and bathrooms are nice, a/c works great, wifi...More
I love this hotel. I travel to Managua several times a year and stayed here for the first time in March 2016. It is extremely nice, has a great breakfast and a wine reception in the evening. The pool is great and it has the...More
We found everything satisfactory, the rooms were clean, the ambiente was pleasant, and most of the hotel staff was accommodating. However, we were quite disappointed with the treatment we received from the gentleman at the front desk. Whenever we solicited his assistance he always made...More
This small hotel is fine for a one-night stopover in Managua, a city that we did not stay in or explore, being en route for somewhere else. The immediate impression of the room, upon arrival in the late evening, was poor; rather dull and depressing,...More

Hello dear Mrs. Helen S,
First of all, thank you for your thoughtful review of Hotel Los Robles.

Quaint small intimate hotel located in a nice neighbourhood with many restaurants close by. However, the restaurant in the hotel is excellent and needs to be tried. The hotel feels like a Spanish style home. The sitting area and dining area open to a delightful...More

The building layout is essentially in the shape of a large "U", with all rooms (except one) along the sides of the "U" and the building entrance, lobby/dining area at the bottom of the "U". I think they're doing some construction of that one room exception right now to enlarge it, so yes all rooms opens onto the courtyard. In the courtyard is a fountain with flowers/shrubs and beyond a nice large walled-in grassy area and pool, and a small place off to the side with several exercise machines. Though the rooms open to the courtyard, it really is just the door that opens; I don't recall seeing any windows facing the courtyard (though I could be wrong). Inside each room is a window or french door that opens onto a very small (and not very attractive) courtyard of it's own.
I've stayed at Los Robles twice and will be going back again in a few months. For me, the rooms are comfortable and adequate if I want to write or read something, but they're not a place where I would sit and linger looking out at the courtyard. To enjoy the outdoors I'd sit in the area by the pool or in the lobby/dining area. Incidentally, wi-fi does not seem to work in the rooms, only in the lobby/dining area.
We had room 1 which had its own private patio area but was in the road. To get a room by the pool area I would suggest you email the hotel and put a request in. The staff spoke good English and we found them very helpful... More
