Located in a quiet residential area, with a fabulous bakery / deli a half block away and a huge grocery store only a ten minute walk. Our main floor room with 3 piece ensuite included, a fridge, tv, queen bed and dresser. The complimentary breakfast had the fresh basics offered in a quiet, clean eating area. All the above was...

This is one of the best values I've run into in Central America. It's very well-located in an upscale residential neighborhood, near the center but far enough away that you don't feel like you're in a big city. The nearest arterial, traffic-clogged street is a 5-minute walk away. There's a fine bakery right on the corner, and on that same...

We have just returned from a two week trip to Panama during which we used Baru Lodge as our base in Panama City as we explored different parts of the country. We stayed there three times, at the beginning and end of our trip and an overnight midway through. We were extremely pleased with the service Tony (the general manager)...

Baru Lodge was perfect for us! It is in a semi-residential area but a mere 2 blocks from a major thoroughfare (Central Espana) and a short walk to the Metro. There are multiple places to eat nearby, and a panaderia a half-block away. The room was spacious, with a sizable bathroom with stone-and-tile shower, good AC, Frig, Cable, and great...

We just stayed 1 night since we were passing through but this is a comfortable spot to stay. Although it is right in the city it is relatively quiet, the bed was fine and the breakfast out on the patio was good. Our host was very pleasant and helped us with our visit to the old town (fortunately her English...

We always stay at Baru Lodge when in the city. Nice room for $58. Good beds clean, wifi etc. The breakfast is always the same (for years). Fruit, toast, HB eggs, yogurt, mystery ham and American cheese. Juice, milk and coffee, tea. Not great but OK ballast for the day. The past owner has moved on to our regret as...

This was our first accommodation when arriving to Panama City. It was a nice B&B in a quiet neighborhood 2-3 blocks from a main city street. The rooms were clean and comfy. Nice, modern décor. Breakfast (toast, meats, cheese, fruit, cereal, hard boiled eggs, juices and coffee) was provided in a lovely outdoor tropical oasis. In the breakfast area, it...

Baru lodge is located in a quiet street close to Calle Argentina where there are lots of restaurants and night life. The lodge is very clean, welcoming and they arranged transfer from the airport for us. The room is fairly basic: comfy bed, tv, small fridge etc. The bathroom had a decent hot water shower, toilet and sink. Both were...

The place was nice and intimate. Nice, simple breakfast included with the room: hard boiled eggs, juice, yogurt, toast and fruit. The room looked nice at first glance but the paint was peeling and the outlets were not covered, the safe either missing or broken and the air conditioning was not working well in either of the 2 times we...

Spent a couple of nights with my wife. The room was big with two double beds, very comfy, clean and stylish. Owner was very helpful and nice. The lodge is located in a quite street in the center of the city. Very recommended.
