We stayed for a few nights in Mamallena after our boat from Cartagena, it was a lovely place to rest and get sorted out before embarking on our way up Central America, really relaxed vibes. The staff are absolutely divine and willing to help you no matter what the issue, you can even practice your spanish on them! There's also...

Super friendly people and staff seem to congregate at this hostel, we were always being asked to join in on whatever was going on that day/night. Clean place, good wifi, pancakes in the morning, lots of different chill out places and a cute pool to cool off in. We stayed in the private rooms, very clean with a/c, they are...

I loved staying at Mamallena, as it had big air-conditioned rooms and lots of places to hang out! Free pancakes in the mornings, lots of board games, nice showers and a very friendly staff - good vibes in the night, but not as much to disturbe a good nights sleep! Thanks for a great stay! /C

The staff was amazing and the facilities great, I felt very welcome and had a great time in Mamallena. The barbecue they do is great fun and they have a lot of things going on. As I stayed for 11 days i got bored of the city as there is not a lot to do... If you choose to go...

I stayed at both hostel mamallena Panama city and cartagena. the manager Kev was brilliant and made all my bookings very easy. I was even lucky to sail with him from port to port. both hostels were great value for money, clean and full of friendly and helpful bi- lingual staff. thanks for the great times. a&t

We notified them that we would be arriving at 8pm in the evening and when we arrived they didn't have our booking, they accidentally booked us in a dorm. Which isnn't suitable for a family with young kids. Even though it was clearly confirmed as a room by email.. They send us packing in the evening with three young kids...

Situated within an area of town with plenty to see, Mamallena had friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, a great kitchen, open common areas, and decently priced ice cold Balboas. There was always a movie playing, conversation to be had, and a quiet place to nap. We cooked some great meals and met a few friends during our stay. It’s...

It's okay, it was the first place we stayed on our trip and hasn't been the best or the worst so far. We had a private room that we'd booked in advance and it was fine, bit dark and the paint was peeling off the wall but that's no big deal. The staff we met were ok. We hadnt looked...

Thanks for leaving the review, it seems honest and not over the top review. Thats what we ask for, good or bad. If you've read the actual reviews to which you commented on my replies, you'll notice that they are extreme. Some of them border on the point of being outright slanderous and I don't think thats reasonable. Someone might...
