We stayed at Casa Sucre for one night when we arrived in Panama, the rest of our trip was spent in Bocas. The place was a little difficult to find in the taxi, there aren't many signs and numbers can't always be found on buildings. That just added to the charm of Casa Viejo and I'm glad we choose this...

Alyce was the consumate hostess. My husband and I stayed the first night we arrived in Panama City and the final night since we spent the rest of our vacation on the coast. The rooms were beautiful and we felt that every single detail was taken care of for us. From the fresh and hearty breakfast in the morning, to...

We just returned from a spectacular trip to Panama City, in part because of our fabulous stay at Casa Sucre. It was clean, cozy, the food was delicious, and my favorite part was Alyce, the owner and her mother, whom my husband and I took to calling Mom. Alyce truly knows what it means to provide an experience for her...

We are a couple that stayed for two nights at the hotel, in the beginning and the end of our visit to Panama. Alyce was shure to make our stay as pleasant as possible, treating us with the little extra when we needed something to drink and advice on where to eat in the evening, call for a taxi etc....

We stayed here for a weekend and loved the place! Very cozy and comfortable, breakfast was wonderful. Alyse is a warm and gracious hostess and she truly loves her establishment. The place has a lot of history and we think it just might have some energy lingering. We felt comfortable and welcome the whole time, we also enjoyed people watching...

Three friends and I stayed at Casa Sucre the first week of February this year. It was wonderful. Alyce and her mom made us feel like part of the family. Their breakfasts were outstanding - so much so that we didn't need lunch. And... her mojitos were amazing. She helped us plan some wonderful excursions and experiences. We loved the...

We stayed at Casa Sucre 4 nights with a group of friends, and loved the place and its wonderful owners, Alyce and Rich. We felt like members of the family sharing the lovely living space, and well decorated rooms. The location is great, even if a bit noisy due to a new rooftop bar across the street. Alyce makes wonderful...

I highly recommend this property. My family & I stayed here three nights. Was not aware it was Carnival weekend in Panama- a pleasant surprise. The owners Rich and Alyce were wonderful hosts. They went out of their way to help us with our needs- including moving us to a larger room when it became available. Breakfasts were included and...

Alyce is a wonderful hostess, very helpful. The place is charming and staying in Casco Viejo, you get to walk around the neighborhood from there all you want. 15 minute taxi to the canal, and the seafood market is right down the street. The rooms and/or apartments are lovely. Alyce will put you in touch with Jonathan of Truly Panama,...

Exceptional, trendy, friendly, comfortable clean rooms, great location, safe...well worth the stay. Went to Panama for Carnaval- stayed at Casa Sucre (Last one called and only one that answered my call- by the owner!) Love that personal service! Owners were ALWAYS available in house, are VERY accomodating and will go the extra mile. Recommended HIGHLY to Family & Solo travelers.
