Stayed at Ciro's for three weeks while studying at Casco Spanish. Ciro was always helpful and him and his mother were very welcoming, encouraging me to speak in Spanish. Very well priced accommodation in a good area of Panama City. Public transport to and from school is not convenient, then again that's a given for most of Panama City and...

I stayed here a week while attending Casco Viejo Spanish school. Ciro and Cachy are warm, kind and have a wealth of info. Their home is located in the Balboa, Ancon, centrally located to everything you might want to do in Panama City and beyond. The home is in part of the old US Military base housing, wide streets, quiet,...

I stayed here for 1 week and it was great. The family is really nice and Ciro knows all the ins and outs of the city. The location is great too, as it lies between Casco Viejo, Amador, the Panama canal, ancon hill and the big bus terminal. Therefore it was really easy to get to most of the great...

It is exactly what it says, a HOMEstay. Cachy and Ciro have a few rooms in their home for guests, mainly people who stay longer. They are very nice and friendly people, I stayed over X-Mas and they invited me for their X-Mas dinner which had a lot of very tasty food. The room was simple, but that's what I...

Staying at Jamraka was a great pleasure! Ciro and Mama Cachy were the perfect host's. I had everything you could need from a great kitchen to cook in to a wash machine to do laundry. My room was comfortable and I slept like a baby. This felt more like staying at home with family and friends and I enjoyed the...

The Jamraka is a perfect stop over point in Panama City. We arrived late in the evening and would be departing first thing in the am. Our room was clean and had a ceiling fan and there was a nice outdoor space upstairs to hang out. We were able to walk to the store and a restaurant near by and...

If you are looking for a traditional hotel/concierge/city experience, this isn't the place. However, for the non traditional traveler, this is a warm, economical option for a vacation in Panama City. It's a private home in a quiet residential neighborhood, a couple of blocks from the bus stop/taxi's. Ciro and his Mother have the upstairs; guest rooms/kitchen/bathrooms are on the...

I was actually staying in Las Tablas, Panama with my mother during Carnival, and met Ciro and some of the other people staying at Jamraka Homestay during the festivities. I had such a blast! I wanted to see some of the city and decided to stay at Jamraka Homestay for a few nights before going back home. Ciro (who speaks...

We stayed at Jamraka Homestay for a total of five nights on two occasions, at the beginning and end of our month in Panama. By the end we felt we had got to know Ciro and his mother really well (a testament to how friendly and welcoming they are.) Ciro's English is flawless, and he gave us some great tips...
