Enjoyed my stay at the Panamericana Hostel. The staff were mostly friendly and helpful, the WIFI works (except that you need a new password like every other day), there is hot water in the shower. Most importantly the location is ideal as it is near to food and entertainment. My biggest challenge was the stairs.

There is much better hostels around the same area. Terrible WIFI, the staff were not helpful to any of us and the rooms are very hot. There is only 2 bathrooms per floor and you end up lining up to shower or use the toilet. This was bad even for central america. There is free breakfast though! hahaha

Nice and cool place to stay in the heart of the City, Amazing location, rooms are very basic, but safe and clean. Shared bath was okay as well. Some stuff are helpful, some are not - like always and everywhere. Breakfast basic, but for this price is more than okay. Wifi slow. Very loud as well, you can hear ANYTHING...

Panama City is slightly limited in hostels for back packers. After driving around for a long time, I finally came across ''Panamericana Hostel'', a very cool place to stay. Most rooms are spacious, some with bathroom attached and some without. Two roof tops with a view of the old town and the Pacific Oean. The hostel is well taken care...

Stayed for 1 night in August 2014. Room rate was $28/night ($14 each). Private room, shared bath. Booked/reserved online. So we'll start with the improvements: room had 2 single beds which was a bummer. We definitely expected a double bed. The room was fairly basic with no dresser/horizontal surfaces except the bed and only a locker to store belongings. The...

Hostel has a nice location in the old town. Staff are friendly and knowledgable. I ended up in 3 types of room...ensuite with a balcony, dorm and double shared bathroom. All rooms are basic and simple but with all you need. Most have balconies which is great to relax on but no aircon so also helpful to get a breeze....

Common areas were nice, kitchen was well stocked and clean, rooms were clean with lockers (stayed in private double). Something about the acoustics makes the place really loud late into the night! The staff helped to arrange our trip to the San Blas islands which was amazing, and let us store our bags there.

We stayed 3 nights in August 2014. Good service, friendly staff. Amazing location, just a minute walk from great bars (Mojito sin Mojito for example) and good restaurants. Good breakfast, included in the price, but come earlier than later because our last day we came down at 9:30 and there was no bread left (but still plenty of fruits and...

The great location in the old quarter is the big plus here. It has a great roof terrace too and I found it clean and quirky. It's a pretty big place and is popular with people of all ages so quite inclusive. It can be noisy due to it's configuration but isn't a party hostel. Staff were nice and helpful...

Pros - friendly staff, spacious common areas, rooftop terrace, kitchen, location. We booked 3 nights but after the first night they moved us, apparently they double booked that room. We re-packed everything and lugged it up to the third floor. I was hoping for a better room, intead we got a closet size room similar to a jail cell. 4...

“It's a youth hostel!! Expect noise, late night fun and games. A few private rooms, mostly dorm rooms with double-deck cots. Go somewhere more expensive if you are there for "good rooms"..”

“If you do decide to stay here, stay on the far sides of the building away from the stairs and light shaft. Go for a room with private bathroom to avoid having drunk 18 year olds throw up all over the shared ones.”
