Hotel is wonderful. The fact that it is so close to the airport is a huge plus. The hotel was a shuttle service that operates 24/7, every hour on the hour. If you're needing overnight accommodations with connecting flights, this is the best place to stay in town. Rooms are spacious and clean, and surprisingly don't hear any airplanes flying over. Overall a great value.
We were very pleased with this hotel. Staff are all friendly, the food is excellent and service is great. The rooms are clean and the pool is well maintained. Will definitely stay here again! It is affordable. My husband and I are retired and stayed here prior to the cruise. It was comfortable for us and we felt right at home in Panama! Transportation easy. They have a shuttle bus back and forth to the airport. It did take a little while for the bus to come by and pick us up, but that is to be expected as there is only one bus and they pick up all travelers staying in their hotel. There were maybe 6 people on the bus with us. Very worth it to wait.
Great location, surprisingly yummy restaurant - but experience marred by very noisy air conditioner making sleep difficult. Each room had its own compressor and no real difference between high and low settings. Staff reluctant to do anything about it. Pool and area behind the hotel are wonderful as you would never guess you were near the airport.
I get it, this hotel probably only has guests overnight or a day or two, but that does not mean you forget customer service. After being in Panama for about 4 hours we asked the front desk to call us a cab because we were going out to dinner. He responded by saying it was too far away and refused to call us a cab and directed us to the Hotel’s Restaurant. There we waited 45-60 minutes just for a glass of water and to order our meal. The waiter’s first words out of his mouth were “What do you want”. I will give thumbs up to the kitchen staff on duty because our meal was delicious. This Hotel frustrated me so much I had to wait a few weeks to just write this review. I’ll say just take a deep breath and check out the next day.
Stayed here while on vacation in Panamá and needed a hotel close to the airport to enable an early flight home the next day. Clean quiet hotel, good value. Very close to the airport with a free shuttle.
Very nice hotel….nice large room, comfy king bed, nice shower….just wondering why no facecloths? Bring one in case they never provide them. Had a “buffet style” lunch which rather scared me after the past few years - very clean and orderly looking with fabulous selections. A bit pricey perhaps but very good non the less. Pool area inviting and lovely in the evenings. The only thing I would say is ….book a room not facing the busy traffic ! Noisy. EXCELLENT LOVELY STAFF EVERYWHERE WE RAN INTO THEM ! Had no issues using the shuttle to the airport.
We are BIG IHG people so we had no hesitation booking this hotel. Of course there wasn’t much to choose from near the airport and with an early flight it was a good idea. First impression was total delight! Modern lobby, beautiful pool area and handy restaurant/bar. Check in was easy. The desk clerk spoke perfect English. There are no upgrades because every room is the same. We got to the room we were surprised by the minimalist feeling. Tile floor (which wasn’t a big deal really) white walls and a bed that had a top sheet covered thin blanket and pillows were like sleeping on a bag of flour. Very uncomfortable bed. The air conditioner was an in room unit that rattled every time is came on. It was a very bad night sleep. No coffee maker or bar fridge for our $4 (plus tax) boxes of water from the lobby shop. But what really shocked me…no hair dryer! I had to call the desk twice to get one brought to the room. I’m not sure if we just got a bad room or if it’s the norm. We had dinner with a couple in the restaurant. Four meals (2just the soup of the day) took almost 45 minutes to come out with one of the soups being last. Restaurant closes at 3 and opens again at 6. Pool is beautiful but the side tables had food and dishes from previous people still on the tables.. The free airport shuttle in the morning filled up very fast. We got there 20 minutes before it was scheduled to leave and it was almost full and by the time we left there was luggage in the isle…very cramped ..the van/bus is too small. When we were checking out the desk clerk handed us a “loyalty gift”…in a gift bag. By this time our luggage was on the shuttle and really while the thought was very nice, getting the souvenir coffee mug and fridge magnet into my luggage was more trouble than it was worth…we thanked her by declined. Certainly is just an airport hotel…served our purpose but the room certainly wasn’t what we expected for a Crowne Plaza……
We've read poor reviews about this hotel and wish to disagree. We stayed one night before boarding our cruise. The rooms were clean, the staff extremely friendly. The food was very acceptable. We were not there for a vacation stay, merely a place to wait for the cruise. Would stay there again.
This hotel stands out for its’ customer service. After trouble with flights, we unexpectedly could not fly out and had to find a hotel to stay at 4 am. It was so nice to have such a wonderful hotel, with exceptional staff during a difficult time while we tried to find a flight home. The buffet both for breakfast and dinner was delicious and even though we had no time for the pool, it looked beautiful!
I recently stayed here as I had an early morning flight to catch and found it to be a great location for such a stay. They offered a shuttle to the airport, just be sure to get there early for it as it can fill up.
