We stayed here for New Year's Eve. We used the free shuttle to go to the casino which was perfect. We only checked out the stores while there. Great little selection of stores. Loved the candy store and Natural Life store. The room was nice and updated. Appreciated the little wet bar and refrigerator. We called for room service a...

What made the GTR special was the fact that they had, on the resort grounds, a fabulous doggie daycare (Dog Dreams Inn) that was staffed 24/7. This allowed us pet parents to be able to relax and have peace of mind. This is a unique service that is not offered anywhere else. We have just found out that the resort,...

Loved the stay at the resort, we really enjoyed playing tennis inside, though it was cold outside. It's just far enough outside Traverse City to not be overwhelmed with traffic. Take an extra day & drive North to Petosky, Charleviox, or the Mac. Bridge!

My husband and I went on a pre baby getaway! The staff was friendly and the room was beautiful and recently renovated! We didn't get a chance to swim in the pool, but really liked that they offered an adult swim time! We will be back!

We stayed at the hotel in January of 2016 & 2017, renovated tower rooms each time. The views are lovely, removed rooms are nicely done, bathroom is fabulous (HUGE shower!), & the bed is very comfortable. The bed is against a wall of windows & you can hear when guests above/below close the blinds (there are a lot in each...

Clean room, bathroom fan & heat were dependable. Fluffy mattress top, guessing an addition to the original mattress, but comfy. Good pillows. Luggage carts are manned by employee. Not allowed to take on your own, so tip is basically expected. But nice to have assistance & very friendly.

I stayed at the GTR during a business meeting in Sept 2016 (and 15 and 13 and 11 and....). The staff is extremely helpful, friendly, on-top of their game. The guest rooms are always clean and have recently been renovated (well, in the last 8-10 years). Comfy mattresses - and at least 4 different kinds of pillows. Banquet food was...

My husband and I chose this hotel for my Bday weekend/new years eve. We picked this resort solely based on all the activities and amenities it boasted on its website. Oh and behold none of those activities were up and running, in fact the whole town seemed to be closed down or very few places opened. The pool area was...

Restaurant was understaffed. Had an 8:45 reservation an sat for 30 minutes before anyone came. Waitstaff brought wrong drinks. Ordered oysters. When they arrived two of the shells were empty. How could chef not notice this? Potatoes were raw, steak over peppered, fish overcooked and rice cold. Manager said she would be right over to take care of problem, but...
