This hotel is in the foot hills so you get a wonderful breeze. Food is outstanding as well as the service. The grounds are a sight to behold. We walked around for a few hours and did not see everything.

I rarely write reviews but we just had to!!! El Convento is the most stunning hotel we have ever stayed in and we have been to hundreds all over the world. We arrived at night and when we entered the hotel to the wonderfully attentive staff we noticed the entire hotel was covered in candles, it was like something out...

This old and historical building makes this hotel one of the best in the colonial city of Antigua Guatemala. We got a great room for a regular price. I wish I had more time to spend around this awesome hotel. I'd recommend this hotel for couples ONLY since it's ROMANTIC and LUXURIOUS. Who wants kids around? I don't ? anyway....

We stayed here for 3 nights during Semana Santa. It was a wonderful peaceful retreat from the processions and crowds. Service was top notch, the room was extremely clean, the beds were very comfortable. Our room was upstairs and we had two queen beds. We had a lovely small deck and our own sauna in our large well appointed bathroom....

This is my first trip to Guatemala and was traveling with my brother and his family. Working with an agent, this location was suggested and we went for it. Let me just say this hotel may be the best I've ever stayed in. Each room is unique and has its own style. My room featured a king bed, enclosed patio...

My wife and I spent 3 days at the El Convento Boutique Hotel in Antigua. It is charming and antique in its look but comfortable and up to date in the essentials (bath, electronics, bed). The restaurant was also excellent. It is well located for touring. The staff was very professional and efficient but very personable and concerned about our...

In general when one drives into Antigua, your mind is to get out as rapidly as possible ! the city is , exempt for the old structures one of the ugliest I have ever visited. HOWEVER, when you enter the hotel and enter behind the ugly walls, one comes into a marvel of a world ! Incidently , practically ALL...

We ended up with 2 nights here after there was a stuff-up at another hotel with a double booking. How lucky for us! This is a lovely hotel - about a 10 - 15 minute walk from the centre of town - picturesque walk (Antigua is picturesque full-stop!).We had a great room - spacious, well-appointed. Breakfast was lovely. Excellent service:...

El Convento was a great base for our couple of days in Antigua. The hotel is in the NE of the town and walking the sites on the grid of streets is easy. The hotel itself is a good place to relax, the room was a nice size, with a small balcony. Staff were friendly. We had the set American...
