You can't fault Casa Ovalle for offering a good value room in one of Guatamala's more expensive towns for tourists. The room was comfortable and clean, the breakfast was good and varied and the location is good. The beds are short so if you are 6 foot and over i would steer clear. The main problem was it just felt...

Entering a lush Spanish style patio, greeted by the friendly hostess, escorted to a large, well furnished room was just what was needed to unwind from a tough flight schedule and introduction to seven days of historic exploration of Antigua, Guatemala supported by the friendliest team of care givers I have run across in many years. Casa Ovalle's site near...

I stayed at Casa Ovalle for 3 weeks in April-May for work. It was by far one of the loveliest places I have stayed in my many travels in Antigua. I was given a huge room with sitting area, desk and lots of space to both work and relax. The room was spotless and cleaned daily - with fresh flowers,...

We spent our last 4 nights here, enjoying every minute of Casa Ovalle. Our room had a bedroom and a stting room, both beautifully furnished and plently of storage space. Drinking water was provided in a carafe, daily. Breakfasts were served from 7 til 10 a.m., with a selection of fruit, meat and cheese, cerals, eggs, pastry and rolls. The...

A small, cozy, delightful hotel 3 blocks from Plaza Major. Staff and the family who own the hotel could not have been more accommodating and friendly. Room was clean and spacious, breakfast was delicious. Overall, a great find. We'll stay there again.

We were not sure where to stay in Antigua Guatemala. The Casa Santo Domingo is a super place but very expensive where breakfast is not included nor the taxes (20%) in the rate. Just a few blocks away is Casa Ovalle. Casa Ovalle was about 1/3 the price and breakfast and taxes are included. It was worth it if you...

Stayed for a total of five nights at this charming B & B only a block and half from the Central Plaza. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They even sent a representative out with us to help clear up a small problem at a tourist site. Included breakfast was cook-to-order eggs with fruit, juice, cereal, bread, and 'great'...

During our week long stay in San Salvador my wife, cousin, and I impulsively decided to make a two day pit stop in Antigua, Guatemala. This proved to be an excellent decision; Antigua is tucked in a valley amongst three dormant volcanoes. The buildings in Antigua are painted in beautiful hues of red, blue, orange and yellow. The town is...

Delicious little family hotel in the centre of a World Heritage Site city, inches from the best restaurants in town and all the sights. This is very much a family affair and feels like it. It is an old-fashioned property and has the sense of antiquity upon it as, inevitably, do some of the fittings ... but that's part of...
