The staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. Location is great - 1/2 block from the Central Park. We typically stay at larger, higher rated hotels in Antigua, but this was a quick overnight on our way through so we gave this hotel a try. We probably won’t stay again only because of the bathroom set up. Maybe it was just our room, and it was fully functional, but the shower, toilet and sink were in separate “closets” and just felt odd for 3 people. And no counter space or shelves to set toiletries. Nice pool area and coffee service, but no food service or breakfast. Overall a satisfactory stay.
Our family loved this hotel! The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The shuttle service was easy to set up to and from the airport. I have read reviews about the beds being too hard- we actually prefer a firmer mattress and found them to be perfect! The hotel was SO clean!! It is in an extremely convenient location to Central Park and restaurants and coffee shops. The hotel felt super safe. The gate is kept closed most of the time with a button to buzz. The front desk is always staffed. We were dropped off late after attending a wedding and staff immediately opened the gate for us. The entire grounds are decorated so nice. The pool is a nice addition! I feel I do need to mention that yes, the bar next door unfortunately adds noise at no fault of the hotel but for our family, we were tired from travels and explorations, so we had no trouble falling asleep! Ask for a second story room if possible. The view from the balcony outside room 10 was breathtaking!! Perfect view of the volcano! The little ice cream shoppe next to the hotel was really good, too! I fell in love with Antigua City and hope to visit again! I would definitely choose this hotel again!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!…
Very lovely room and pool setting. It's a place to stay, not to eat or drink. Rooms were nice, beds a little hard, but only stayed for one night. Check in was late because my room wasn't finished, but all was taken care of. Towels need to be updated, they're pretty worn. They push you to "reserve" space at the pool because of COVID, but never saw more than two people there. Hotel is very close to everything in Antigua and is a very pretty property. Right next to Barrio bar which is nice too. Highly recommended.
Positive first: Safe, clean, super friendly staff, great lication. Negatives: I’m writing this review at 5:24 am, awake because the sound in this place travels everywhere. From couples having sex, babies crying, people going to the bathroom and people on the phone. It is IMPOSSIBLE to sleep with the sound in this hotel. They really need to sound proof their windows. I most definetely will not be coming back because of this.
We loved our stay. The view of the volcano from the balcony was wonderful. The rooms we clean. When we needed help finding a place they were so helpful. They lock a gate at night and someone is always at the desk. I would stay again.
Amazing views of volcanoes. The room was beautiful, spacious, and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The grounds were lovely for lounging. Easy to walk to absolutely everything in town.
We loved our stay here. The grounds are super lovely and lush. The rooms were clean. Everyone was really nice and helpful. Some spoke English. The view was amazing!! I would definitely stay here again.
We stayed here twice during our trip, several nights while exploring Antigua and after returning from a weekend in Honduras. We arrive late at night both times and were greeted immediately by friendly staff. There is a locked security door at night, but it was opened quickly. The reception staff all speak English. The location is perfect, just off the main square, close to restaurants, museums, transportation and tour offices. I felt safe walking around the area even after dark. There is so much to see and do in Antigua! The hotel is beautifully decorated in bright Guatemalan art and textiles. The pool is very nice with loungers and change rooms. We stayed in two different rooms. The first was on the main floor, near the reception desk. It was huge with a big window at street level. We could hear some traffic noise, but it was quiet at night. The room was spotlessly clean and the beds comfortable. The hotel kindly stored some of our luggage while we went to Honduras for a few days. Storage was very secure and all our things were returned exactly as we left them. Our second room was upstairs and had an amazing volcano view! The room was smaller with a funky, original bathroom set-up. It was again very clean and comfortable. We used the hotel laundry service. Reasonable price and our clothes were returned by the end of the day. The staff keep food and water outside the doors for the street dogs(a nice touch for this dog lover!) Highly recommend, will stay here again.…
The Hotel Casa del Parque is a genuinely friendly and an interesting hotel very close to the cathedral and main square. Rosa and Alejandra are fabulous on reception and all the staff are smiley and helpful. There is a good sized plunge pool and breakfasts are ordered on the day, if you want them. Totally unpretentious the staff have a genuine desire to ensure your stay is memorable.
This small but beautiful hotel was home for 3 nights while we were in Antigua. It is located very conveniently close to the famous yellow Arch in Antigua and just down one block from the town square, shopping, banking and restaurants. You can't tell from the outside, but this small hotel has a beautiful courtyard with blooming plants, greenery and a pool. There is also a covered breakfast area that became our gathering place in the morning mostly because they had free coffee and cold water. Fortunately, our room was upstairs above the breakfast area. Even though there are stairs to haul your suitcases up and down, try to reserve room 10, 11 or 12. Those rooms have a balcony that you can watch Volcano Fuego erupt every night! There are several benches to sit on along the room windows, and when we discovered the "volcano show", we would tell our friends to gather on the balcony with their coffee, water or other beverage of choice and "watch the show"!! My only complaint is that the beds in this hotel are very hard. I am a side sleeper, and after the first night, had to ask for more pillows to lay them down on the bed to sleep on top of them, so my hips didn't hurt all night. And because we also stayed at another hotel in another part of the country and discovered the same situation with their beds, next year when I go back, I will be bringing a blow up pool float to sleep on. But other than that, I strongly recommend this hotel. …
