We have stayed here three times now and have had a great experience each time. We have been in Antigua to work for a week building a house with From Houses to Homes and then we stay a few extra days just doing tourist activities. We have gotten a great rate for our whole stay each time. The hotel has...

The hotel property is beautiful, as with most hotels in Antigua. Very well decorated, cared for, and the rooms are comfortable (including very hot showers!). The major downfall is the location of the hotel next to the bar/club zone of Antigua. In fact, the club nearest to the hotel plays loud music until 2am, especially on Friday and Saturday nights....

It's a surprising place. In Guateela is difficult to find a place affordable, elegant an decorated with such a good taste. Whenever you get in you can feel a sensation of peace and relax. Two bad things The don't have restaurant service but there's alot of choices around. Other is that there is a disco not far from there but is...

My wife and I spent three days and two nights exploring Antigua, using the Placida Antigua as our home base. We were very pleased to have a clean room to come back to each day. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom provided a hot shower, and the doors/windows opened up wide to allow cool breezes to come in. From check-in...

A great place close to the main square that offers spotless rooms with King sized beds. The Hotel is quiet and affordable with room rates being somewhat negotiable depending on the night with weekly rates available. Reservations recommended for Friday and Saturday nights. The staff are pleasant and accommodating.

My family, friends and I recently stayed at this hotel while in Antigua for a week to build a house for a family through From Houses To Homes. This was my second time staying at this hotel while volunteering with FHTH. Cesar was extremely helpful and friendly. We could always count on him for any information we may need. In...

My wife and I recently stayed at the hotel for 10 days. They gave us a weekly rate of $42/night with no breakfast - $47 with breakfast. Our room had a king size bed with a wonderful hot shower. The property was very clean with beautiful flowers on the balcony. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is only...

I recently got married in Antigua and booked the hotel for my friends to stay in. The staff was friendly, helpful, and very flexible as changes arose in different people's itineraries. After the wedding, we stayed there ourselves and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. It is located just a few blocks from the central square along the Main Street. We checked...

It would be hard to complain about such an inexpensive yet well-located hotel. I agree that the breakfast was not impressive, but for the price and convenience I cannot find fault. Service was friendly and helpful.

Usually hotels in antigua are too expensive compering with the rest of guatemala just because is antigua. This one is pretty good for the price . Terrible breakfast but there are nice places around to expend your money.
