Think a smaller more private version of Casa Santo Domingo. The hotel is basically a beautiful small home, placed within historic church ruins. We stayed the week after Semana Santa which is the best week to travel in Guatemala. Our family stayed in two rooms and had the hotel to ourselves. Oscar and his staff took great care of us,...

Had a wonderful 3 nights here while visiting Antigua. The rooms were sensational, well appointed, fireplaces, comfortable beds. The staff was so very accommodating There was no request that was too much. One night we needed a cab and the owner himself drove us into town, and refused payment. Unbelievable. I hope to return. .

We stayed here during Semana Santa 2016, and loved the architecture, design, food, quiet and comfort of this delightful boutique hotel. The lap pool is lined with green tile, which is why it has the shade that it does in photographs...it is perfectly clean and various guests used it during our stay. Very attentive service and excellent security here. We...

Our stay at Hotel Cirilo was so delightful! I did yoga by the pool while my husband swam. We enjoyed the views of the garden with the ruined church walls. Such a beautiful restoration! Each room has a piece of the original buildings revealed. I'd definitely love to go back!

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel in a great location. We stayed here recently for a weekend trip to Antigua and it was perfect. I was a little worried about the location, since it is on the edge of the town center, but it was fine. The distance to the Parque Central was easily walk-able, but the hotel did recommend...

First we stayed here for our honeymoon. We loved it... personal service, cozy room... perfect... it is peaceful... very peaceful... because it is not on the center of the city you can really rest. Also during the day, you can read, relax or just hang out near the pool, next to a 400 year old wall... the garden is beautiful....

If you want a romantic or just peaceful relaxed time in Antigua, this is the place. The property is amazingly beautiful, the service is wonderful, food is really good, each room is conformable and each detail makes it unique. The location in Antigua may require to take a taxi, specially at night but during the day walking to the main...

My husband had lived in Guatemala for 2-1/2 years, 40 yrs ago. This was his first time back. After "roughing it" for the first half of the trip, staying at the Cirilo was a wonderful way to enjoy beautiful surroundings in comfort. Thank you Oscar and staff for your hospitality and warm welcome!

Gorgeous hotel in an unusual setting of church ruins, with pretty gardens and a small pool. Delicious breakfasts in a sun-filled room; a nice, simple lunch of sandwiches and salads served by the pool when requested. We had a high-ceilinged, luxurious and comfortable room for a family of four (they readily provided an extra rollaway bed as our two teens...

Cirilo is a gorgeous place, sequestered away in the quiet back streets of Antigua. The hotel has been constructed around the ruins of an older building and the result is stunning. The breakfast room overlooks a sunny garden set amongst the ruins with hummingbirds flitting in and out of the flowers. Breakfast itself is delicious and home cooked in the...
