Thanks to a buddy of mine that hat just stayed there for a few days and booked it for me. This was a last minute trip and I was going to stay in Guatemala city. My friend made the arrangements and she held the room for me. The room was absolutely spotless lots of hot water and clean sheets. Breakfast...

Evelyn is a very helpful host, and if you want the help she is happy to suggest activities for your interests, as well as helping to book tours and transportation. The Taanah house itself is very well maintained and pleasant to stay in. Rooms are generous with individual private bathrooms and showers. Wifi acted up occasionally, but was generally available....

Evelyn is a marvelous host and takes wonderful care of the people staying with her. Upon arrival she gets you set up in your room and gives you a map with the highlights to see in Antigua. Each morning she made the guests a delicious breakfast to start the day. Our room was comfy and clean, and we loved having...

Evelyn is so accommodating, friendly, helpful, and genuine. The rooms are white-glove clean and the shower has steaming hot water. The beds are extremely comfortable and the neighborhood very quiet. It was nice as a family to be able to prepare dinner in the evenings in the kitchen and use the refrigerator. Evelyn has a lovely roof-top terrace on which...

Evelyn makes you feel at home from the moment you step in the door. She is incredibly warm and makes delicious breakfast for you each morning! The rooms are spacious and clean, and some rooms have great views of the volcanoes agua and fuego. The rooftop is a great place to watch volcan fuego erupt in the evening, or soak...

I loved staying here. The home is so beautiful and Evelyn is a really sweet host. She cooks breakfast in the mornings and makes sure that you're comfortable during your stay. The house not far at all from the arch or the park and the rooftop view is beautiful. I highly recommend Taanah Guest House for your stay in Antigua.

Think interior courtyard for relaxing with a book; third-floor deck for amazing volcanic views, piping hot Guatemalan coffee in hand. Taanah House was a stellar choice for a two-week stay in Antigua. I read a couple of "average" 2013 reviews dissing the cleaniness and have to say that I found the opposite to be true. Evelyn and her housekeeping team...

It is the first accommodation I stayed at in Antigua Guatemala, and found it to be a neat and cosy place with wonderful hosts and house pets. The location is not too bad, and it is not far from Cerro de la Cruz. It can be a tad hard to locate on the first day if the sun goes down,...

We spent 4 nights here recently, and could not have asked for a better place. We typically only stay in more budget properties, so the guest house room was a huge step up. Clean, spacious, with windows and ensuite bathroom with towels was great. The friendly owners, Evelyn and Fernando, helped us get to know Antigua and to arrange a...

We are having a fantastic vacation in Guate. By far, this is the best acommodation we had found arond the country. Loved the hospitality and friendliness provided by Cheekys (Evelyn, the owner). The space is a transformed old Antigua style colonial house, into a cozy, boutique hotel villa. Don't miss it while you are around. Thanks for a fantastic stay!
