Nothing special here other then Antonio who helped us book tours and offered direction. Staff is friendly but rooms are eh. Bathrooms are grimmy. Food in the morning was good though. We tried to stay at el hostal but was booked! We went through hostel world

Owner, his dog, the free breakfast, the room and the bar upstairs (and the view) all great. Not a party hostel but close enough to the one's that are. Very cheap laundry place on the left as you leave the hostel and the place that sells illegal mescal is on the right. I wouldn't agree with previous posters that the...

This hostel is clean and super well equipped with a kitchen, garden, ping pong table, tv and hundreds of films. Great prices with breakfast included. Many people go for el hostal across the road but this one is half the price and just as good. Would highly recommend.

I stayed in Hacia El Sur when I first came to Antigua in May. I was here for 5 days and found it the perfect place to have as a base to explore Antigua- especially with the free breakfasts and free access to filtered water. I then returned for two weeks and found I loved it here in Hacia El...

I would not stay here again. The dirtiest filthiest hostel I have ever stayed in. We had a private room with bathroom right at the base of the cafe skybar stairs. Couldn't lock your door from the inside. For the outside we had to lock our door with a padlock as the door handle doesn't work. The sheets had all...

Surprised by all the positive reviews, because this place was definitely not clean when we visited. The dorms smelled strongly of mould so we switched to a private, but it still smelled and we only stayed one night. Wouldn't trust the floors anywhere in bare feet. Staff was friendly and location is good, plus the rooftop cafe is really nice,...

The room I had was quite clean and it was quiet which was fantastic. The location of the hostel is perfect as it is near some really good restaurants. The staff are very friendly and the dog they have is very nice. The food was good too. The restaurant, in addition to the regular seating on the second story, has...

I spent here a couple of weeks when visiting Antigua for work - loved the easy pace, the staff, the fact I could use the kitchen, the breakfast included and the dog: Leopoldo! I would not recommend room 1, since it is right at entrance and it can get noisy - but all the rooms and dorms are nice and...

Super basic simple and clean environment where you can relax in a great location and take time to yourself all while being close to everything in Antigua. Manager was just awesome and so helpful so can't daily then at all... And free breakfast was great too!

I stayed here with a couple friends and the employees went out of their way to help us feel comfortable, shared their own experiences, and help us get around. The locations is perfect! I think this was the best value of our travels through Guatemala, also the breakfast was pretty good!

Our vibe is very laid back and inviting for our international guests. We have high speed free wifi, laundry service on site (& a clothes line) as well as a TV and DVD player for movie nights! There are all new beds, fresh clean and cozy new bedding. Private rooms or shared dorms. There's a ping pong table and lounge to relax in and large back garden courtyard, buy a beer, listen to the birds, meet other travelers - do as you please. We have a selection of 8 different breakfasts to enjoy everyday from 7:00 to 10:30. Of course we serve Guatemalan coffee too! Come to Cafe Divino, our breakfast, lunch and dinner bar with a menu of smoothies to burgers and beer and cocktails too.Conveniently at the front of our building is a tour company, bike rental and bike tour service as well as a shuttle booking service that picks you up right at the door. “Traveling with three? Best prices for a room! Sometimes they will give you a four bed room for the same price! All room are excellent! Some have private bathrooms but the shared one is nice too and is cleaned multiple times throughout the day!”

“Do not get a room near the bathrooms or the showers. Do not get a room near the wall that meets the next house. The noise is very high. Very loud.”

“Room #4 is a dorm room with 3 or 4 beds and an ensuite bathroom. Preferable, in my opinion, if you don't want to pay for a private room.”

“The rooms at the back might be even quieter. I found in the morning in rm 2 I could hear chairs upstairs scraping floor of cafe, but it wasn't very loud. My room was very comfortable.”
