Chose this property because it had an outdoor pool and hot tub. Used Expedia to reserve. We were very disappointed with the stay. Small property with lovely grounds. When we arrived a couple was having wedding photos taken amongst the lovely flowers in the courtyard. The hotel is located within walking distance of the Central Park and food area, however it is away from this central area and in the dark the sidewalks can be tricky and are not well lit. Now onto the negatives: The pool was nice but in December the water was too cold to use, and the hot tub was out of order. Restaurant was not open for lunch or dinner. For breakfast, once we could order from the menu and the other morning we were served buffet style. The dining room is dark and appears to be inside what looked like a larger meeting/reception room. Breakfast was passable. The room we requested was the Grand Suite with king size bed and fireplace. Unfortunately the room faced the street. The room was dated. Had a safe but no fridge or coffee maker. Very few outlets to charge your phone. Bad lighting. Confusing shower controls. We stayed two nights and it definitely was not worth the price. We noticed that the floors were not cleaned very well. Specifically, when exiting the shower and walking on the tile floors to sit on the bed, my GF was appalled that the bottom of her feet were filthy from the short walk on the tile floors. We spent the entire day out of the room only returning in the evening and removed shoes at the door so the dirty floors were not caused by our "travels", the floors were not properly cleaned. This occurred each day of our stay. Front desk was efficient and we felt secure in the property but next time would choose a different property, even if more money.…
Beatifull and affordable hotel.Friendly staff .Recomended 100%.Big and very well care garden.Big pool and breakfast included.Walking distance to the plaza mayor and other interest places. We definitlly comeback again.
The hotel is very quiet, away from the noise but near from the cool places Antigua has to offer, good rooms, clean and big, the staff was very kind, it is a good place to relax an enjoy Antigua and sorroundings
This is an amazing place to come and stay off the beaten path so to speak close to the flea market and a couple of markets that had some great coffee and liquor. We stayed in a suite that had a jacuzzi and the room is really beautiful. The staff is really nice and very helpful. It's just a very quaint hotel and it offered quiet and peaceful relaxing days and nights. Welcome to a great hotel
Love everything about the hotel! highly recommended!! Since we arrive everything felt like home, all the people that help us was super kind and lovely! The best part was the pool, me and my family loved it.

I liked everything, breakfast was good, the pool was amazing, super cold but it was nice. Very calm place, and nice people. I felt like I was home, very comfortable. I'm definitely going back some day.
The property was amazing. All the rooms are colonial style and are clean and comfy. The service is excellent. You can enjoy a wonderful typical breakfast. I think is the perfect hotel to feel that you really are in Antigua!
We stayed one night at Real Plaza Hotel Suites, as American Airlines had cancelled our original return flight, due to the coronavirus pandemic (and we were now booked on the last AA flight to Miami from Guatemala). So we could only stay one night. We were in room 105, which is a ground floor room which faced the right side of the parking lot as you faced the hotel. This was really 2 rooms, although there was no door between the rooms. There were 2 double beds, TV, 1 comfy chair, a table and chair, a water dispenser, a fireplace, and an electronic safe. There was no fridge in the room, and when we requested ice, only a small amount was delivered. In the bathroom there was a shower only. The sink was a very fancy tile decorated one. But even though the toilet looked new, there was a sign saying don't put paper in the toilet. It was a long walk through the gardens to the restaurant, but the free breakfast was good, and the nachos mixtos I had for lunch was huge. There was a noisy rooster in back of the restaurant, and moderate traffic noise could be heard there, as well. The WiFi only works in the hallways and common courtyard area. The password is on a sign at the check-in desk. The pool was closed for repairs, but the hot tub was available, although we didn't use it. My companion did use the spa and she said it was very good, although she had to go downstairs to use it (or after using it?). She doesn't like stairs. We requested a fire at the agreed upon time of 8:30 PM, and they built a small fire and didn't leave much wood to keep it going for a long time. But it was nice. The parking lot is fenced, and you have to be let in by a staff member at night. But during the day, the gate is open. I should say that all the staff we saw were friendly. I didn't notice whether they went to check the room at check-out time, as other reviewers have noted. We would stay here again.…
On our last day we went for lunch in the lovely square, Plaza Real, it was a fantastic treat and made my holiday. We found a set menu at Kane’s bottom left hand corner for just 14.50 euros!!!!!!! Fantastic service, no pushy sales, fantastic wine 4 euros a glass, for house wine, food was tasty, well presented, staff attentive but not pushy. Really, really made me a happy lady in Plaza Real, what a lovely lunch in the sun in the most beautiful setting. Also I might add a biggie for me, clean toilets too, wow. Location down from central Catalunya Square to Rambla’s on left, five minutes walk down avenue. It was beautiful 😍
