We stayed for a week in September, the rooms were spacious and clean, the staff were helpful and friendly. Step out either side of the hotel and you are in in the alleys were there are a host of bars and restaurants. It was an gentle 20 minute stroll to the nearest beach, which took you past the ferry port,... More

We stayed at DPE for 2 nights and loved it! The hotel is centrally located and within the old palace grounds. It felt magical to be staying in such a historical site. Everyone at the hotel was extremely helpful and pleasant and as it was our honeymoon, they kindly threw in a couple of extras :) Only thing to point... More

Great hotel, location is perfect for exploring the palace as well as the beach and harbor area. Our room was on the top floor, it was extremely spacious and modern. FYI - there isn't an elevator and if you're on the top floor, there are 5 flights to go up. The bathroom was also spacious and clean, the shower tends... More

First visited Diocletian Palace Exoerience September 2015 so decided to stay again this year for the last night of our holiday. I cannot fault the location, size of the rooms, quality of the rooms, beds, shower, wifi. The staff are fantastic, really helpful and welcoming. However although the breakfast was lovely - it was 'set' with 4 choices including choice... More

From the meet and greet taxi to the airport drop off nothing was too much trouble. The check in was effortless and the room clean & well maintained. We booked two trips & revived a discount. The breakfast was hearty and the staff pleasant. We had one evening meal here which was also excellent. I would recommend this hotel.

The Diocletian Experience is an amazing hotel and restaurant. The decor is super on trend and the ambience in the restaurant is spot on. Our room was modern, clean and equipped with everything we needed. The staff were beyond helpful, their English was excellent and their knowledge of the local area really thorough. Food and wine also very good.

Fantastic design and decor, well thought out and the restaurant was great too. My wife and I stayed and had a great time exploring everything that was literally on our doorstep. The wines are pricey but this isn't a cheap and cheerful place and price was reflected in quality of wine

This was the final night of 11 days travelling around Croatia. We had stayed in a number of different apartments (trip advisor 4-5 stars) and this was our final treat. Although, clean, stylish and everything the pictures show, it let us down by not giving us the main reason for our stay - a good nights sleep. We are in... More

So I am a geek and I love Roman history. And I stayed inside Diocletian's palace (obviously now with modern amenities and upgrades). The hotel staff was happy to share the area's history. They were helpful and kind at all times. The restaurant / wine bar was also wonderful. It's situated in a cute and picturesque alley. The food and... More

Embedded in the wall of Diocletian's palace complex this is a modern hotel within an ancient and historic (1700 years) edifice. Helpful staff, pleasant, functional rooms it's a great place to visit Split from, especially when is 35 degrees! Downstairs is an excellent restaurant and we were given complimentary wine tasting with delicious Dalmation snacks. The only thing I still... More
