The hotel itself is quite lovely, having recently undergone a renovation. However, we felt that there were some issues, particularly given the price. We were made to wait a rather long time to check in -- both receptionists and the concierge were engaged with another customer, ordering 2 taxis -- despite the fact that we were absolutely bedraggled from our...

The terrace is lovely at night and a great place to enjoy a drink after dinner. The only downside was that the pool was a bit small and often weren't...

Arrived early at the end of a two week sailing holiday around the Adriatic. We left the port and arrived at the hotel early. The receptionist informed us that our rooms were not ready but we could leave our bags with Concierge and use the hotel facilities. The level of service and standard of facilities in the hotel is fantastic....

My sons and I stayed here for three nights. The hotel had been open for four or five days when we arrived. The hotel is a beautiful building just off the beach. The just renovated interior is lovely, although I wonder how the light grey carpeting in the halls/stairs will hold up. The decor is very pretty and feels very...

The Park Hotel in Split was entirely renovated mid-2015. We had stayed in it 10 years ago during our honeymoon and while it was quite nice back then -location is superb, calm while close to beaches, port and city center- they really took ot to the next level now. Staff was responsive and went the extra mile. We had a...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Searching for an ideal spot in which to build his impressive palace, 1700 years ago the Roman emperor Diocletian decided to settle on the Adriatic Sea coast which is bathed in Mediterranean sunshine for 270 days a year. Today, the palace represents the historic center of the city of Split and is under the protection of UNESCO. In the course of the centuries from the construction of the palace until today, numerous statesmen and aristocrats, distinguished businessmen and politicians, the elite of the European cultural scene, as well as a number of popular movie and sports stars have been coming to Split for a royal treatment. Since 1921, Park Hotel has been the only prestigious hotel in this part of the Mediterranean to provide such impeccable service and elegant ambiance within the stone walls of its sophisticated establishment. In 2015, Park Hotel, the crown jewel of the hotel industry of the city and the region, was fully renovated and refurbished, once again paving the road for new and even higher standards of supreme and unique hotel services. Its characteristic aesthetic values have been preserved, highlighted by the refined Art Deco style interior of the restaurant, lobby, winter garden and 72 rooms, which feature discreet elements of modern technology. The elegant charm of the hotel is further accentuated by a professional and discreet service provided by the hotel staff. Park Hotel is a story which you want to experience. At least once in your life. ... more   less
