Very comfortable rooms, all of the staff was wonderful with one exception at the front desk, I was a single person and had requested a single room with a balcony. The woman argued with me that they didn’t have one, I insisted that I had reserved a room with a balcony and was shown 3 rooms with only the last being satisfactory. I did get lost twice but was very nicely directed to my destination. Very comfortable stay, delicious food and enjoyable bar in the evenings.

Dear guest thank you for this comment. We are glad that you had a lovely time but we need to address the situation with the room: agency booked single room for you, not balcony room. Despite that, you were upgraded first to classic double room for solo use. Our colleague did not argue with you, she explained politely what was booked/upgraded and then proceeded to show you other rooms with balcony before upgrading you again. Kind regards Kristina Filippi Sales Department

Hotel's Favourite
From the very start of our holiday all the staff at the hotel have been fantastic. On arrival we had a beautiful room, with a red rose, sweet treats & a letter for our wedding anniversary. The staff in the restaurant & bar work long hours & are as attentive & courteous in the evening as they are in the morning, to everyone. Whilst some of the food on offer is the same each night, there has also been variations each night, giving us something new to try every night & everything has been delicious. Before we arrived the hotel recommended a visit to Mount Srj & this trip was as breathtaking as they described. Our room (608) was spacious, with a balcony overlooking gardens & some of the harbour. The sunsets from our room were stunning. There is a fridge and comfy chair in the room, so was comfortable to relax after a day of sightseeing and before our evening meal. Although the hotel is large, the attention to detail & dedicated staff made it feel like a smaller hotel. Every staff member we met took time to say hello in passing & answered any questions to their best ability- even if asked the same question lots of times (I noticed this waiting in reception one morning!) There were roadworks directly outside the hotel which are beyond the hotel’s control & meant a short walk was needed if using some taxi’s, but this didn’t distract from the beauty of the hotel & the noise was bearable. A local told us the works have been happening for the past year & should be completed by December 2023- they didn’t affect our holiday. The hotel is a short bus ride from the Old Town & a 15-20minute walk from the Gruz harbour, so an ideal place to plan sightseeing & away from the hustle & bustle to relax. Is also an ideal place to view the boats & cruise ships using the harbour. Dubrovnik is a beautiful area, with passionate people- this is certainly matched by Hotel Lapad & our stay here enhanced our visit. We cannot recommend the hotel enough & will certainly be returning as guests ourselves. We cannot thank everyone enough for making our first visit to Dubrovnik & Lapad memorable.

Stayed for 3 nights following a cruise from Dubrovnik. The hotel and room was very smart and clean. All staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed on a half board basis and both breakfast and dinner were very good with a big choice of food. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely hotel, great choice of food spacious room, TV, fridge, tea making facilities, hairdryer. Bathroom spacious, power shower plus hot water. Hotel kept immaculate. Excellent chambermaid/restaurant/bar/reception staff, friendly/cheerful/helpful. Other holiday makers at the hotel sociable. Great location, 15min bus journey to Old Town Dubrovnik or 1.15 min walk. Harbour outside hotel. Ma Bella pub cheapest pub we found €3.20 for a large beer. Go out of the back of the hotel from 6th floor near room 617, through exit and through double iron gates go down small hill turn left, bar not far away on opposite side of road. Also no 6 bus stop to get to Dubrovnik Old Town, we purchased return ticket from booth next to bus stop, as bus can get quite crowded.. If you like walking, it's a great location as we walked out to beaches. We just used Google maps and paper map from hotel which shows locations of beaches etc. Glad we didn't stay in The Old Town itself as expensive. Take packed lunch plus drinks, or use pastry shop or small shop just outside walls if you don't want to pay high priced restaurant prices. Roadworks outside hotel never disturbed us, just have sturdy shoes for walking out front. We used the pool a couple of times but wasn't warm. Pool towels provided for small returnable deposit. Don't forget visa tax for entering the country payable at the hotel approx €15 per person. Croatia is a very beautiful scenic country. Food expensive outdoors so we were glad we booked half board. Plenty of pastry shops, reasonable priced. Big Tommy hypermarket not far from harbour, for drinks and snacks. Negative point, smoking still allowed in bars and restaurants.

The hotel is a very good 4-star property, very clean, the pool is very nice and there was a large choice for breakfast. The staff is very welcoming and fast replaying, seeing the guests and their needs, always open to help and assist. It is located 15 min drive from the Old Town, but the location is even nicer as there is also a beach and restaurants just 15 min walking distance away with amazing sunset views and away from the big cruise ship crowds. Will choose to stay at Hotel Lapad during my next trip again.

Fantastic hotel, nothing was too much trouble. We arrived early due to an early flight in, they accommodated check in a little earlier. Our room was lovely, breakfast had plenty of options and catered for all appetites and diets. We only stayed for 3 nights but will be staying longer next time on our return.

We are a family of 4 adults and have just returned from a 5 night stay at this Hotel. The rooms are very good, with a great bathroom, TV, ample storage space and safe. Breakfast buffet is excellent. We stayed in for buffet dinner one evening and the food is very good and plentiful options. My only complaint is that cigarettes are allowed to be smoked in the bar and lunchtime restaurant (which overlooks the pool). The smoking cigarettes smell permeates through into the reception and foyer area and is quite off-putting. That said cigarettes are smoked in all the bars and restaurants in Croatia so this seems to be standard fare over there. There is currently significant building work going on outside the front of the Hotel but once this is completed it will transform the area. I would highly recommend a stay at this historic Hotel.

The hotel is old but renovated with everything what you need. As we had the workshops for two days we used a big weeding room in the separate small building equipped with all technical equipment. I want specially emphasize the great hotel staff who were always there when you need them. The food was tasty and wine was good. The rooms are clean, nice and big enough. There is a swimming pool in front of hotel but with the extremely cold water. There were construction works between the marina and a hotel but I didn’t hear them.

Hotel Lapad provided a perfect base for our exploration and relaxation holiday. Rooms were ok, if not a little small (too much furniture to allow two suitcases to be comfortably opened). The sound insulation of the room was perfect, we did not hear a peep from other clients! The housekeeping was brilliant too. Reception did exceptional work, always ready to help and serve. Restaurant, however, was a bit slow with drink service, we often half finished our dinners before were even asked, what we wished to drink. Could have drank more (and paid more...), if offered. The sparkling wine at breakfast was a nice touch. The road works in front of the hotel were manageable, and you can easily see it will be very nice when finished. The historical hotel was a treat to experience!
