I have visited this place a lot with my family, it's quiet, a bit of an old-people's place, and has a very nice view. They serve breakfast and lunch (lunch is not included in the room fees), both are really nice and fresh, and feel like home-made. The place is pretty old, with it's owner Mr Talaat, who is very...

It is quite good for a budget hotel, very good location, clean rooms and excellent view. What you need to put in mind as a guest is that the hotel doesn't offer towels, so you need to bring your own and that some rooms don't have private bathrooms (some does). So make sure you state your preference while doing the...

As the title says, without exaggeration; because of the staff at this hotel I have experienced what is arguably the worst night of my life so far. Staff is NOT allowed to knock on people's doors at 2am in the morning and act like moral police, demanding to see IDs. The staff member at hand was extremely rude and made...

I spent one night at this motel in Alexandria and had the worst experience ever. We were three female friends (one from Egypt and two from Denmark) sharing one room. We went to bed around 1 am and after two hours a staff from the hotel knocked heavily on our door. As scared as we got we didn't open the...

I spent one night at Le Crillon Hotel and going in to the hotel I felt I was part of an old Egyptian movie. The hotel comes across as a huge flat spread across 3 different floors. It is the kind of hotel that you would spend a day in or maximum 3 nights. The rooms are clean & spacious...

This is a very old hotel on the Main Street of Alexandria. Nothing wrong with old, as long as it is clean and functioning. The room we had overlooking the Ocean and Citadel was beautifully spacious, with great huge windows that opened onto a tiny deck you could not even stand on. But we had to have plumbers come and...

Staying at this hotel is like going back in time to the 50's. The plumbing has been updated, and the floors have been kept up, but the furniture and wallpaper look like something from an old movie. It truly is a hole-in-the-wall hotel. It's located on a side street, but it's right next to the Mediterranean Sea. The view from...

The Crillon is all about an authentic experience on the Mediterranean. There's no air conditioning and I refused to trust the poxy olde lift (elevator) BUT this place is awesome. It has 1920s kitsch stuffed birds and big old wooden drawers and stands, you feel like you're in a Hemmingway novel. The staff are really lovely; the bathrooms are communal...

“This place is a few dollars cheaper than the rest, but along the Corniche, you'll find loads of similar hotels and it does not cost a lot of time to check out a few. I am not going back to Crillon even though i spend a few days in Alex each month, year long”
