We stayed for two nights in this hotel. It is lovely, very spacious rooms done in teak, excellent facilities, swimming pool, good dining and breakfast. Staff are helpful but the reception staff could be friendlier and have a better command of English, some things we asked for were lost in translation. Otherwise a great stay, just beware the mosquitoes which...

This is a gorgeous hotel with extremely spacious and very Asia-modern rooms with a perfectly well working wifi net. The bathroom was fantastic, the bed huge and comfortable and the fruit plate and water very much appreciated. A very nice pool and outdoor restaraunt with puppet show in the evening rounded off this exceptionally beautiful hotel. VERY highly recommendable!

We stayed at the hotel for two nights, as part of a 13 night tour of Burma. It provided a comfortable and stylish base from which to explore Mandalay and its surrounding areas. The hotel is beautifully designed and appointed in teak wood, almost to the point of feeling a little clinical. That said, the rooms, gardens and communal areas...

This plush hotel is far from anywhere: it's located on a side road in a semi-rural setting. It would be almost impossible to hail a taxi into town, as very few pass by the hotel. The restaurant is expensive, uninspiring and unsatisfactory for vegetarians unless they are happy with pizza, pasta or chips. So we walked down the street a...

The hotel is full of teak and this may put a few off as giving a feel of relative darkness to some of the rooms. In the new wing, the rooms there are lighter with very high ceiling and have a more modern touch overall. Nevertheless, not yet an high end hotel although prices relatively high for Myanmar, especially in...

We stayed here for two nights on a tour of Myanmar . The staff were charming and the food was OK BUT The dining arrangements were the least welcoming and badly arranged, we have ever come across. Far to few tables for 4 or more and no bar area. The swimming pool was featureless in an empty area with only...

We stayed here as it was the "best" hotel that had interconnecting / suite rooms available, which avoided having to break our family up. The hotel is a little out of Mandalay, but that is not really a problem and usually means the hotel will be a bit quieter, except in this instance our room backed on to the main...

The Rupar Mandalar is a bit far from the center of Mandalay but the lovely surroundings and adorable staff make this an entirely worthwhile trade-off. The rooms are spacious and impeccable and the common areas are beautifully decorated. I had a massage at the spa and it was excellent. The typical Burmese puppet and dance performances during dinner were an...

Myanmar is new at tourism and especially at high end tourism. Prices are 5-star prices; however, the facilities, services and infrastructure are nowhere near. Nothing worked well at this hotel. Electricity is unreliable. The water is not potable, even after boiling, and smells "off." The food at this property was not particularly appealing and was not especially well cared for...

Stopped in this hotel whilst touring Myanmar. This hotel is out of this world. We have travelled extensively over a number of years and have never e perienced such a beautiful tranquil place before.
