I was in HQM as the locals call it October 2015. The hotel is cheap, old and rooms with various levels of renovations done, all rooms are very basic. Some of the rooms are bigger some smaller. Noisy but powerful Chinese air con units in all rooms as standard. Windows in the rooms of the typical thin two part type...

We spent three nights on our trip to Mandalay in March this year (2015). The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff were super friendly. On one occasion when my husband was looking for a particular bakery the staff member whom he had asked directions from ,walked him to it. The breakfasts were the best we had in Myanmar. Both...

Room was very clean & acceptable. TV doesn't give have many international channels. Love their restaurant on 7th floor-great food & drinks served at affordable price. Staff are very efficient & helpful. Best settle your bill in cash to avoid the 5% surcharge on credit cards. They have a travel agent in the lobby convenient for money exchange! Easy to...

Given the price of accommodation in Mandalay in general, we were happy with Hotel Queen, it is not a top end choice, nor is the tariff. The Queen rooms are a reasonable size and the somewhat dated bathroom was clean. Admittedly the breakfast buffet was more geared toward Asian choices, but toast, eggs cooked to order, fresh fruit and the...

I stayed here for 2 nights in their Standard Room. Room is clean and comes with TV, AC, hot water, fridge and kettle. Bathroom is nice and clean with plenty of toiletries. Room size is adequately spacious for 1 person but may proved to be a tad too cozy for a party of 2. Wifi is good everywhere in the...

Our room was on the 6th floor, a nice cosy size. Wifi seemed best in the morning compared to the evening. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The staff were all very friendly. Plenty of toiletries and free water too. Good location, close to the entertainment part of Mandalay, a few nice restaurants close by as well as within walking distance...

Clean room with wooden furniture. Wifi available in the room. Located a bit far from the canals and less nicer environment compared to Swan hotel or Sedona but price here is very reasonable with 40 - 50 USD depends on the room type and good service. Only small parking space available. Breakfast buffet is ok but pastry and bread are...

A belated review! We stayed overnight in December 2012. We tried to book this hotel from Australia, but prices kept going up and then was shown as unavailable. In the end, we walked into a travel agent's office in Yangon, asked for a room in Mandalay, and this hotel was the cheapest option. It cost around $54AUD for the night...
