I arrive there in the midnight with my family and we took family room (47000 kyats )quite cheap. The hotel is good decoration but when I saw our room the room is dusty old and smells like mold and musty smell.I couldn't fell asleep because of sneezing whole night ! In the next morning ,we asked to move to next...

Lovely to have a clean and welcoming base for exploring the city. Room was serviced rather late in the day, but well done. A pity that there is only one lift, so access to the higher floors is a bit slow.

Not in a very nice area, the road outside difficult to walk along, room okay, we had difficulty find a restaurant nearby and had a evening meal at the restaurant in the hotel, but they were not equipped for guests really and we had to wait ages for our meal. Staff quite friendly two nights was enough.

I stayed here while i was on a tour so i didn't book the hotel and i probably wouldn't if returning. It wasn't terrible but it was a bit run down and basic. It's ok for the 2 nights but nothing special.

This hotel was modern, clean and central for downtown. Rooms were of a good size, clean and comfortable. Given the downtown location it was a bit noisy but a perfectly good hotel for a few days in Mandalay

If you are visiting Mandalay there is no need to stay in the dusty town center. Most of the attractions are outside the city center. Silverstar hotel is not managed well. Only a few people speak or understand english. Our room was in the back of the hotel . Less noisy than the other sides. Room simple but clean. Shower...

While this hotel is generally clean and will service basic needs, the rooms are small and the customer service is not up to usual Myanmar friendliness. Location is quite central but expect a fair bit of outside noise, especially on weekends. Wi fi works but is slow. Don't have very high expectations and your stay will be okay.

Would not recommend this hotel for number of reason. It was next to another hotel who played VERy loud music on their rooftop. The shower was leaking and at 1.5metre height with large fan right next to it- very dangerous. The air con has no filtering and so in morning all the smog will be aired into your room. It...

The Silver Star hotel is a large multi-storey hotel, located close to things we wanted to see and do. The rooms were what I would expect in a larger hotel - clean, a little impersonal, but more than adequate. Water in the bathroom was hot, there was a room safe, and breakfast buffet was good.

We had a strange experience: my companion's lady razor was used while we were out. The shavings were in the toilet bowl. A toilet roll I'd brought with me was taken. The window and screen were open slightly when we came in. Unsettling. Didn't sleep that night. We'd locked up and had our valuables locked in suitcases - phew. Didn't...
