Although the rooms are all timber and therefore on the dark side, there is a good feel to this place. Nice relaxing outdoor area where a nice American style breakfast is served as part of the deal. And of course the location is a winner. Scores of monks trudge past at 6 in the morning to collect alms - one...

We arrived at 5.30AM and we were really really tired because of the bus ride. We were already prepared for the fact that we would have to wait until 7PM before we could check in, BUT thankfully they opened the gate for us at 6PM already; I was so gratefull because we could sleep for another few hours in a...

We were coming from Vientiane for the weekend and had a last minute booking as we couldnt find available villas that were centrally located. Luckily, Mr Vong the owner of this villa promptly responded via email and we were able to get 2 rooms for 4 people. This is a small, family-run villa with very limited rooms. Very reasonable prices....

Very good value for what we payed. Great location, good wifi, decent breakfast, clean rooms, and friendly staff. Also a very short walk to the main street and night market. For what we payed, we couldn't have asked for more. I would recommend for anyone on a tighter budget.

Rooms were lovely and service throughout was faultless, couldn't be more attentive. Breakfast was lovely and had a variety. Even let us check out late because they had a room spare for us. The lighting in our room could be improved but that was the only thing I can suggest as everything else was brilliant. Couldn't have found a better...

Small family run hotel, a few hundred meters from the Mekon river, and close to the Palace. Very clean and cosy. If you need to go on via the airport, the hotel will bring you there (for a small fee of cause 😉). The family also owns the hotel (Pok Dee), on the other side of the street, which is...

The hotel has a very good location, peaceful but right at the heart of LP. Nice room. The breakfast was good taste. The owner can speak Vietnamese very well and very helpful. He can provide you taxi service in case you want, with a very good rate. He can give advices and help. I really loved LP and highly appreciated...

It was not our first stay and not our last. The location is perfect, central yet in a quiet back street. Of course you will hear the drums from the temple or the odd roaster. This is in the middle of what you came for, the charming town of Louangprabang. Service is good and personal as it is a small...

We spent 5 nights at the Lao Wooden House. The owner and his nephew were great but the son is a problem. We had some problems with a leaky sink onto the floor in the bathroom and an air conditioner that broke down. Heck we are in Laos. We told the son about our problem and then went out to...
