My wife and I stayed here during May 2016. We were picked up by Mr Toey from the airport and driven to the Mekong Estate where we met Mr Vantthana who introduced us to our home for the next 5 night which was the Jade suite. The suite comprised of a living room, small kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and a full...

We stayed at Mekong Estate for five nights in the Maison Rouge with our 4 and 2 year olds. Toey and Vattana took excellent care of us - advising us and helping us to book all of our excursions to the waterfalls, elephant village and our boat ride. We arrived late on Friday and the restaurant delivering to the hotel...

Loved it. Sad to leave. We stayed in the rustic luxury of the garden villa with our kids, age 2 and 4. The hotel managers, Ventanna and Toey were amazing, helpful, and understanding of all our family questions and needs. The location is a 10 minute tuk tuk ride from the old city but if you want some calm you...

I have just returned from a 6 night stay in the beautiful Garden Loft self contained bungalow, it is as it looks in the pictures, perfect. From having breakfast served each morning on the balcony, to staring out at the Mekong watching fisherman and families drift by on their way to somewhere up or down stream... After 3 days of...

Stayed in the Garden Loft in December it was a large room with a great veranda that had very impressive views over the Mekong, the bathroom is small and could be better and the beds are rock hard. The room did have good Wi-Fi. Breakfast in included in the rate and is served on your veranda. It is a very...

This place seems to cater to larger groups, but my wife and I booked the garden villa and fell in love with it. The location is great (short walk or tuk tuk to town, but well off the beaten path so very quiet and peaceful. We were steps away from the Mekong and spent many mornings / evenings listening to...

With spacious balconies overlooking the Mekong River this is an ideal place to either unwind or as a base from which to visit the sights of the area. The facility is well maintained including the surrounding grounds. Balconies face north with views of the Mekong and sunsets over the mountains to enjoy every evening. It comes with a fully equipped...

There are plenty of accommodation choices in Luang Prabang, with a variety of price points. Most choices are in or near the lovely heritage listed old town, and it would suit many to be close to the action. We chose Mekong Estate because a garden setting close to the river appealed to us, especially with a seven night stay. We...

Nestled by the river about 2 km from central LP this a beautiful place to stay for those who want to explore the area. The rooms are lovely with balconies overlooking the river and pool and the sound of wildlife is mixed with the genuine Lao traditions in houses nearby. We moved here to get away from the noise in our more centrally located hotel. After 4 sleepless nights we were desperate for some peace and quiet and felt that we hit the jackpot with Mekong Estate. Toey, one of the managers, could not have been more helpful or charming and we were soon installed in the Garden Loft, which...
