I stayed at the Villa Chitdara for 3 nights from 10/2 to 13/2/2017 with another 2 friends. My room is at the new block of the Villa, pass through to the garden. The garden was nice, the room was clean, the staff were polite and the wifi was good. The breakfast is served at the open air dining room overseen...

Lovely welcome, efficient staff, clean rooms with a good simple breakfast. Garden facing rooms a delight, nothing to complain about at all. Perhaps the bathrooms could be brighter? We stayed in 2 rooms and both bathrooms were a bit dingy, but a minor point

When you enter your room the first thing you will notice is the teak. Teak floors, teak furniture, teak beds. The teak gives this guest house its charm. And charming it is. This is not a place for luxury travelers. There's no bell hop, no swimming pool, no fancy lobby. No bar. Just a very friendly staff who will do...

This is one of the best accommodation we have ever stayed in. This guesthouse is very much cosy. Close to the markets and mekong river. The owner Madame Chitdara welcomed us and made sure we are all ok. She notice that we weren't eating much of the breakfast as it was pork. So next days she got us chicken soup...

This is my sixth stay in Villa Chitdara in as many years. And hopefully I will keep coming back. The Chitdara is for me almost a reason in itself to come to Luang Prabang. A new wing has just been opened, and Mm. Chitdara very kindly up-graded me to this for part of my stay. Absolutely nothing wrong with the...

This is more of a guest house than a hotel, but the accommodation, food and overall service were of a very high standard. It provided an excellent base to explore Luang Prabang. The rooms are not large but are very, comfortable. Judging by the annexe being built, this place is a real success. We would certainly stay here again.

The Villa Chitdara is fantastically located only minutes away from the Main Street yet not bang in the centre so manages to maintain a peaceful garden setting. All staff have fabulous English and couldn't be more attentive. The room was moderately sized with a nice bathroom and balcony looking over the garden. The only negatives with be that the breakfast...

This hotel is very central. Rooms were good but initially had a corner room 16 which was bigger and excellent. Returned after a trip to room 14 which was not so big . Breakfast freshly cooked . Small issue with shower dealt with that day. Would recommend this as a reasonable family run hotel.

Well located in the city the hotel has good sized rooms with full en-suite amenities and the outside dining room caters for all tastes at breakfast. The beds were large and comfortable and the service good.

The Villa Chitdara is a little laid-back, like the whole of Luang Prabang. It is situated half way between the Mekong and Nam Kan Rivers, and a few minutes away from the main street at the end of which the night market takes place. The building is sort of colonial French, built mainly of highly polished wood. The rooms are...
