This charming guest house is located on a quiet street minutes from all the hot spots - temples, national museum, morning and night markets, tons of good bars and restaurants. The monks walk by every morning so you don't have to get up super early to offer rice. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are unbelievably clean!...

Dear Ayesha H, Greetings from Villa Chitdara. Thank you for your kind message. My mother is always to try the best to make the rooms clean. We are now working on improving on Internet network/speed. Internet in Laos is still slow and not stable unfortunately. Looking forward to see you again in our beautiful town. Your sincerely. Alex Chitdara

Enjoyed a three night stay at Villa Chitdara. Staff were friendly and helpful and the owner was a charming lady. Room was more than adequate with good internet and air conditioning. We stayed in a ground floor room which was quiet and had a lovely small patio. Breakfast was simple but well presented. Location was excellent and it was an...

Villa Chitdara is in a quiet street, yet very close to LP's main attractions. As we needed a triple we could only get a room facing the street. That concerned us slightly nut for no reason. We had no street noise at all and slept very well in a beautiful well maintained room. The manager is very friendly and fluent...

Dear Bruno, Greetings from villa chitdara. Thank you for recommended us for our central location. Indeed, we are located on a small street walking distance of main attractions and restaurants of the town. I will give the word to my mother. I am sorry to hear you did not have your usual breakfast in early morning. Our restaurant is open...

This guest house was quite lovely with balconies, breakfast, and AC. It was centrally located and really overall a lovely place. The rooms are nice and simple and you take your shoes off before you enter. The property is lush and green and it really gives you a taste of Luang Prabang.

PROS: Comfortable place in central location. Easily walked everywhere from the hotel. Monks' procession passes right by the hotel. Be sure to respect this tradition and don't treat it like a circus show as some do. CONS: Internet was really slow. Ants even got to our food in the fridge.

One of the things I most need when travelling is good fast internet, it has become a basic requirement, like good running water and power, so is our modern age. The Villa Chitdara, is a nice enough hotel, yet it is in the more expensive end for this town. The internet access, especially upload speeds are appallingly slow. To be...

A superb, boutique-style guesthouse. We were in room 11, upstairs, with a small verandah, overlooking the quiet garden. A firm, but comfortable bed, a splendid shower with smooth, massaging pebbles in the floor. No shoes are to be worn in the rooms; the floors are wooden and highly-polished, and for religious reasons, many shops also ask you to remove footwear....

This was perfect for us. The location was great with daily life happening right down outside our balcony. Though the roosters were around, we hardly noticed them and after all it was all part of life in SE Asia! Madam Chitdara and her staff were extremely attentive and run a tip top Villa. All the boxes were ticked - a...

A cheap yet very nice place to stay. The room is very clean and comfortable. The staff is warm and welcoming. It is close to the night market and many other touristic sites. The service, however, is not extremely nice. Everything in the fridge was expired. Breakfast was poorly prepared. But other than that it was a nice stay. I...

We stayed 4 nights at the Chitdara villa. For a party of 3 room 203 was on the small side, but since we wouldn't spend much time there, and it was streetside, we didn’t ask for another room. Shower and airco were okay. Breakfast outside on the covered terrace in the garden is super; rice soup, baguette, toast, cake, eggs,...
