We enjoyed our stay at the Villa Maly. Was a comfortable if slightly out of the way base for exploring Luang Prabang. The nice rooms and great pool were nice to return to after exploring in the heat. We weren't impressed by advice we received at the hotel about where to hire an english speaking guide to take us around...

This hotel is a perfect choice for your holiday break with great atmosphere. Room is very nice, bed is comfortable. Staffs are friendly. Good location, the hotel is located in a small street which is nice and quiet but not far to walk to town. We can also rent hotel bicycle. There are 2 points which I think the hotel...

The hotel is really great. It has a really friendly team of staff who are very helpful. We had a lovely garden room next to the pool which was very comfortable. Breakfast is of a good quality with numerous fruits, cereals and made to order eggs (any way you want)

Visa run out of bkk. Great choice, short flight and 10 min to hotel, I pre booked hotel shuttle service US$10. Hotel is lovely, old colonial french style, our big room was over looking pool, I think rooms here are different sizes so pay the extra. Close to main street and river, plenty of dinning options around. Great place to...

I stayed at Villa Maly last february with a group of friends. We loved the outside area but we thought that the rooms and bathrooms were pretty small. We were staying in 2 rooms with twin beds and each of us were carrying a suitcase and we didn't have much space to move around. The bathroom was very small and...

We were here for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. It is quite an old structure so if you prefer shiny and new you may prefer to stay elsewhere. Our room was very quiet and quite spacious as was the bathroom, we enjoyed the pool on 2 afternoons (so refreshing given the heat). Breakfast was good ... Buffet 2...

This is a nice boutique hotel in a former royal villa. The rooms are different in size and located in different buildings. Warm welcome from the staff and the (French) manager. There is a nice swimming pool. The hotel is in a small quiet street close to the city center. The evening market is on walking distance.

In Asian terms this is a good hotel. For Europeans I offer 4 star for facilities and 2 star for management and breakfast. The rooms are very clean and the staff try their best. The disappointment for our group related to the quality of the breakfast, the noise within the hotel grounds which spoilt the potential tranquility and the price...
