Of the 4 places we stayed at in Laos, Manichan turned out to be the one we liked least, but then it was also the cheapest one. Well located in the "Economy Guesthouses Area" close both to day and night markets as well as to the Mekong. Good breakfast and home made jams were yummy. We were in a room...

The owner Andy was extremely friendly and made me feel welcome the minute I walked into the guest house. The location couldn't be any better tucked away in a quiet lane between the morning market and Mekong river. The guest house offers self-service drinks and complimentary tea and coffee for everyone. There's also a yard where you can socialise with...

We spent two nights in Mali House. Andy and his team were very accommodating and helped us with everything we needed including tours and transfers. The location was fantastic - right around the corner from the Night Markets and Phusi. The breakfast was great too!

Round corner from night market and centre. Wonderful breakfasts - good prices for accommodation, very simple rooms. Make sure you book as he gets full, we were lucky. Would recommend at least 2 night stay and book to have a dinner there in the evening, not to be missed. Meet some lovely people - mixed age groups.

This review is long overdue! Went here for a short solo trip. Andy, the owner, is a fantastic host! He reminded me of home as we're both from the States. My favorite part was breakfast--the Lao basil with the tomato and eggs is amazing. My room was cozy--I stayed in the second house with shared bathrooms. I had a great...

Easy to find and super friendly owners/staff Close to everything Free coffee & tea and great breakfast Clean rooms, simple but comfortable Honor system for beer etc Good place to meet other travellers Only thing is the price, for a room eith a shared bath, it seems a bit steep, but then, this is Luang Prabang

Highly highly recommend. Andy (Boston local like myself) and his Lao wife own this wonderful accommodation. Both are super accommodating to any needs, they know the area very well and can arrange anything you want. Room is very good, clean...AC cold and bed comfy (firm comfy). Self service bar (local tea) and laundry helps. Most excellent breakfast. And the court...

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Manichan Guesthouse! They are able to arrange airport pickup and drop off which is a big help. You can also rent bikes through them as well. Upon arrival they give you a tour of the ground and they always have hot water and tea available for guests. There is also...

Went here last week 4 nights with my dad. The owners are very nice people in deed. Andy keeps in good touch with his guests. The rooms are mediocre, as expected in a guesthouse. Communal bathroom has sinks whith the taps much too low! Drain in shower does not work well.
