This is our third stay in Manichan Guesthouse (we also stayed there in 2010 and 2011) and it remains our favorite in Luang Prabang. The guesthouse is clean, the breakfast is delicious (home-made jam and yogurt, fruit salad, two kinds of bread, croissant and also eggs or pancake if you like) and the owners are very attentive to their clients'...

Nice room, and the owner was friendly. Free breakfast was delicious and free filtered water is also a bonus. Good location. A little pricey though and so perhaps there is better value available in the area. We certainly found this out when we relocated.

It's not bad, but also not fantastic like other reviews praise it. A bit too expensive, though breakfast is really good. Location also fine, but as someone put it, everything in LP is close by. Few things that bothered us: - very dirty floors so I really do not get this "Take off your shoes" policy. Some scrubing would be...

We - two couples - stayed at Guesthouse Manichan for 6 nights in January. We had two rooms downstairs. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable, the breakfast was fantastic but what sets Manichan apart are the hosts - Peter and Manichan. They couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. They gave us suggestions of places to go, things to...

We spent six nights at the Manichan GH in February 2014, and it was wonderful. The four of us (mom, dad and two teenage daughters) had two rooms, which were basic but very clean and comfortable. The highlights of the Manichan GH for us were the comfortable courtyard where we had breakfast and hung out with other guests, the wonderful...

There are lots of guesthouses that offer clean rooms, comfortable beds, free wifi & good locations, throughout Laos. What sets the BEST apart from the rest for me are of course spotless rooms with good bathrooms & showers plus a number of power points, good fan & in this case good air cond. However after that at Manichan it is the...

Very nice GH in perfect location. The room and bathroom are basic but clean - well, it's guest house not hotel. Simple but tasteful, great breakfast-delicious! We booked the airport transfer (tuktuk), he was waiting for us outside the airport-very nice guy. We also booked the elephant trip there, it was excellent.

We recently spent 6 nights at the Manichan Guest House and enjoyed our stay immensely. Peter and Manichan are friendly, welcoming and good company. The rooms are good and most open onto the court yard where there is a communal area for eating and socialising. Breakfast is huge and seems never ending at times. There is free tea and coffee...

The rooms were a nice size and clean, the ones inside the house with the shared bathroom had a little more character and the bathroom itself was a pleasant surprise. The ones around the patio are a little noisy if you are not an early riser as everyone has breakfast right outside your room and the breakfast itself is a...

The owners, Peter and Manichan, are kind, very knowledgeable about the area and go above and beyond the call of duty for their guests. It was very busy in Luang Prabang when we were there and many travellers were looking for somewhere to stay...and even when Manichan Guest House was full (and it is always FULL!!) I saw Peter taking...
