My partner and I stayed two nights in early February . It was unusually cold for Luang Prabang even for February so the room had a cold feeling to it construction being mostly of cement . No problem as the reception brought us a couple space heaters to keep us warm . I appreciated the upgrade to a pool suite... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in a very comfortable twin room with balcony. Staff couldn't do enough - mosquito spray, fruit in room, lovely bathroom all to hand. Lovely breakfast in the morning. Shuttle service to the town is well organised. Swimming pool area with great views to the hills and surrounding area, spotlessly clean. Can thoroughly recommend this hotel for... More

First, this is a very welcoming hotel from the reception to the concierge to the dining room and management. We liked the layout and the view from the hotel (although we got our exercise walking up the stairs and walkways and especially up the hill from the town below, much needed I might add). The breakfast included in our booking... More

We stayed there for 4 nights and were in room 407. Located on the hill just outside of the UNESCO listed Luang Prabang city it offers great views and excellent staff. Our room was great, good size, unlike previous review we found no issues with the fittings or noise. Bed extremely comfortable providing a good nights sleep but I only... More

We stayed in a standard room for 4 night. We were greeted with a hot towel and fresh juice drink. From the outset we felt that we were welcome. Our room was nice, fresh fruit and water waiting for us. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. The bungalow was a short walk to the reception and dining areas where staff are... More

We arrived in the afternoon, left our bags and took the hotel shuttle to go to the Royal Palace, and have dinner. Back in the rooms (404, 407 and 410), we were disappointed with the poor fittings, the noise from the road and the poor view. On the second say we protested and got "upgraded" to amazingly beautiful rooms with... More

The hotel is located about 3 km from the Luang Prabang city center on top of a hill, and offers a great view over the city. This makes it quite tranquil compared to the hotels in the center. It is lovely hotel with the main building spread out over 4 floors and surrounded by bungalow type accomodation. Easy to get to the centre and nice to relax by the pool after sightseeing. The staff were most helpful when my son got food poisoning (not from the hotel!) and bedding needed changing etc.

The standard room was fine with a bit of a view and a small balcony. The 500 section is next to a disco so you will hear loud music thumping at night. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The charming hideaway of Luang Prabang is one of Indochina’s gems and the showpiece of Laos. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1995, the well preserved city is more of a sleepy backwater than a modern metropolis. Wedged into the confluence of the mighty Mekong and lesser Khan river, Luang Prabang's peaceful location sets the pace for the unhurried way of life in the second largest city in Laos. Its grid-like road network makes it virtually impossible to get lost, and the entire town can be covered on foot in a day. ... more   less
