We have stayed in literally hundreds of hotels over the last twenty years in 67 different countries. Our accommodations have run from some of the finest hotels anywhere to simple home stays, B&Bs and hiking huts. In all of those experiences, we cannot recall a finer one than Luang Say Residence. The buildings, pool and gardens are fabulous and meticulously... More

Our stay in Laos began with four nights in Luang Say Residence. It was an extremely good experience. We loved the place, the room, the facilities. Everybody was very friendly and helpful and the little good-night greetings were very charming. It was interesting to have a look into the tropical gardening area behind the hotel. Although a little away from... More

Just had my first trip to Laos, to Luang Prabang only. This hotel is glorious, although only 3 years old it has the ambience of a lost age. Extremely French colonial, with beautiful rooms and grounds. The staff, restaurant and public areas are world class. I am looking forward to returning with my family in the near future.

This hotel is great! We stayed in a family Explorator Suite (#6) and it was perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids. The restaurant and bar were great. The grounds are beautiful. The pool was perfect. Service could not be better. The included breakfasts were amazing--especially the fruit and breads. The location is also great. It really is very close... More

A good experience in Luang Prabang at The Luang Say Residence, a "new" colonial style hotel arranged in two story buildings spaced around nicely manicured grounds. The rooms / suites have all the modern conveniences and are comfortably furnished with all the amenities expected of a 5 star facility. The staff was most accommodating and trained to respond to guests... More

The hotel whilst looking like a French Colonial Villa is in fact just over three years old. Set in a verdant garden with a beautiful pool, the hotel is a quiet oasis in backpacker land, which is in the centre of town. Don't expect Laos prices though, everything here costs about the same a s Europe. The staff however are... More
