Our room was fantastic value- large, clean and nicely furnished- especially for the price. The host was friendly and helpful. On our first night though, the power went out in our room, so the aircon stopped working and I had an awful sleep as it was so hot. In the morning they tried to fix it but it they had...

I found here while on a walk along by the Mekong and it was exactly what I was looking for. I payed 200,000kip per night as I was travelling alone in low season for room 1 which has river views with a balcony. I really enjoyed my stay it is about a 10-15mins walk to the main street and night...

My girlfriend and I were planning on staying in Luang Prabang for just a couple nights and ended up staying 5 nights. This guesthouse is probably the main reason we decided to extend our stay. The value is unbelievable for the money, the location great ( out of the main overcrowded tourist spots in the LP peninsula) and our host...

I moved to this guesthouse after staying on the mainstreet for a couple of nights, nice but no views. The owner Takyeo was charming and spoke great English, making you feel very welcome. I had one of the downstairs back bedrooms which was large with a lovely bathroom, no view but that didn't matter as you could just sit on...

We spend here about 6 days, it was the gemstone of our journey in SA Asia. The place is nothing spetial, but the owners are the ones who make the place magical. Most of them have a very good english , and can help you with anything you need.

We have also travelled extensively in South East Asia every year and Luang Prabang and Mekong Guest House are wonderful, our favourite guest house and town and in fact I was very sad to leave. This was our third visit to this beautiful town, I would return any day if I could and never leave. The guest house manager and...

We stayed at the Mekong Charm for 8 nights. Originally we planned to stay in Luang Prabang for only 5. Staying here was one of the most magical and memorable experiences we have ever had. Having travelled through Asia extensively this place was spectacular. Our first night was a couple of guesthouses down the road at the Calao guesthouse. Nice,...

Good clean room with Mekong view but the customer service was terrible, and no atmosphere whatsoever - for example could not get a coffee though this was advertised, ants in the tea pot when we finally managed to convince the person in charge that a drink would would be nice...pity as it has the potential to be a good guesthouse...

We spent four nights in this guest house and were instantly captivated by the view from our bedroom, which was of the Mekong River. The bed linen was clean and good quality cotton, the pillows were feather and the price was so much better value at $50 compared to other comparable guest houses. The rooms were a bit dark for...
