Having spent 3 nights at Sengphet Guesthouse, I have to say that this guethouse has been a really enjoyable experience. The rooms were clean, it was really quiet at night and the staff was really friendly as well. I paid 600 KIP for a room without a/c but the fan did its job just fine (it was rain season so...

Stayed here for 6 nights July 2015. Quality guesthouse run by a friendly Laos family - feels more like a homestay than a guesthouse. Rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. I paid 100,000 Kip per night for a private double room with A/C. Free coffee and bananas. They also have a nice area to sit to relax and a few...

One of cheapest places in the center, very familiar and clean. They have a very nice patio and shared bathroom, but the atmosphere is very good. They provide towels, soap, free wifi and lots of smiles. We really like the place! And they also have free coffee, tea and bananas!

When travelling, a computer that you can use for free as well as free bananas and tea and coffee really made a difference! Good price, central location, nice owners and clean rooms made this a very good place to stay. We paid 120,000 kip for a double with a fan.

1minute walk to Hmong night markets, this pretty guesthouse is the cheapest (and one of the nicest) on the street. We paid 60,000 kip for a private double room with a very comfortable bed and pillows and a great wardrobe. Had a great balcony which we had almost to ourselves. Shared bathroom which we never had to wait for. Wasn't...

Just around the corner from the amazing night food market, a few yards from the Mekong River front, this is a family operation. We stayed for eight days, and were very happy here. Mrs Sengphet is the main operator, but her whole family are involved. Free bananas, a range of teas, reasonably priced bike hire and a nice courtyard to...

Sengphet guesthouse was recommended to us by a friend who stayed in Oct 2012. We found the rooms to be basic but clean and comfortable and the bathroom had an excellent strong hot shower. It was the standard Asian style wet room but we have no problems with this as long as it is clean. The room was simple with...

We stayed for three nights and like the place. It is located near the night market in a small street. The prices are interesting as well for Luang Prabang. For family and couples oriented than backpackers.

“Look at the room first. You possibly don't need air con (Saving 20,000 kip) in the rainy/cold season. - See what the weather is doing on the day and how acclimatised to the weather you are.”
