The service and cleanliness of this hotel are fine. My main issue is there really is little internet in the room itself. Also they must start dusting behind the furniture. It's not good. Breakfast was in the room because of Ramadan. If you want to be in southern Jeddah near the Old Town this hotel is not a bad choice. It's an old property so be ready. I felt it wasn't worth the money, however. Maybe Jeddah hotels are just expensive. Taxi's are abundant.

This is indian owned oberai group having it's presence in Jeddah. Choose this being an Indian hotel so easy to get Indian food.

The property is slightly away from other main hotels in town.
Not a great entrance to attract you with. Lobby on first floor.
Impressed with the front desk who kept everything ready for me to check in at 4 in the morning.
Loved the breakfast with indian poori, dosa and chutnies.
Decent price.
Good service
The property is old but remember you will end up seeing same even in other branded ones.

Strongly advised for Indians.
Clean rooms.
Ironboard available.

I stayed at Jeddah trident for 5 nights and while the room was in excellent condition the hotel did not give a feel of four star property. I looked up more hotels in the market area and all of them were 2 stars with very small rooms, no television and individual noisy AC. If you need to stay in the market area and still want something which is better than noisy AC Jeddah Trident hotel is a good option. They also served vegetarian dish at breakfast which was a life saver during Ramadan.
Would stay here unless I get another hotel with basic comforts I am looking for.

The hotel is terrible. Service at the reception terrible. Breakfast coffee was not included in the daily, but due to the location of the hotel, I had to have coffee on the spot, on payment, once or twice. Horrible. In addition, they were dishonest to me on the last day, when I took the amount that I had been charged the day before in kind, and they had no exchange. I was asked to wait in the room for my exchange. I waited more than 2 hours, when they brought, was the smallest. I asked why the value was lower, the answer was that the value had increased the night before. I doubted, so this should have been warned to the host at the entrance to the restaurant. And not later, when it's time to return the exchange. I felt mistaken, therefore, it was a lie, there is no inflation during the night. I checked with other guests, who said the price of the breakfast had not changed. Such dishonesty surprised me, especially since it is Saudi Arabia, with quite rigid laws. The hotel is not prepared to tender foreign guests, as its TV channels are exclusively Arabic, and receptionists do not speak fluently English. I did not feel any goodwill in solving the demands of their hosts.

The hotel has some good aspects, like the genuinely nice service and approach to Customers, or the good breakfast with some interesting vegetarian options (I think the hotel is run by an indian property) nevertheless everything becomes secondary when the most important aspect of any hotel in any category is completely not cared, meaning cleaniness.

While the hotel hall is in good conditions, already in the corridors you could smell something strange: the moquette was dirty, water was falling from the ceiling and there was just a small pot to contain it. The floor around was wet.

The room was also very dirty: pillows had not-better-specified yellow stains so that I had to use a double cover on them just to avoid the sensation of a direct contact. Curtains were also unacceptably dirty, as it was the window glass.

All in all, his would prevent me to come back again.

This hotel has seen better days. It's located on the outskirts of Jeddah. The staff is very very rude and most of the time you never hardly get a decent service.

The refurbished rooms are not so bad but the good really ends there.

Don't bother trying the breakfast it's really not worth it. If you have an option stay somewhere else.

The Conceirage staff were rude when I requested for help to get my shopping bags up to the room. One of the staff (looked a trainee) who took a few steps was asked to come behind by the seniors. Unacceptable.
