Guests have lauded Dukes The Palm, a Royal Hideaway Hotel, for its wealth of amenities, including a luxurious infinity pool and private beach, though some suggest certain areas could use enhancement. Many reviewers commend the hotel for its exceptional service and friendly staff. While some guests find the rooms well-decorated with impressive views, others mention cleanliness concerns and noise disruptions. The location earns praise for its scenic proximity to attractions, but opinions on value and pricing are divided, and while the atmosphere is generally appreciated, occasional criticisms of loud music and outdated decor arise.

We had a 7 day holiday at the hotel in early October 2024. Even though we arrived 3 a.m. we were greeted pleasantly and efficiently so that we were in our room within 10 minutes .

Room was a good size , very clean and tidy with a safe and complimentary bottled water . On inspection the next morning room looks a little dated , not sure the large chandelier is required or the strange mirror/window between en suite and room . Took us a day to realise there was a switch so you could have privacy in the bathroom .

Excellent quality and range of food in restaurant at both breakfast and evening meal , all presented very well and tasted great . The staff from Greeter to final bill paying were always polite and efficient .

The location of the hotel is very good , a taxi to the Dubai Mall was 70 UAE dirhams and door staff at hotel arranged taxi pleasantly and quickly , the Nakheel Mall is only 10 minute walk and as well as a good selection of shops and restaurants ( including the cleanest MacDonalds we have seen ) is a station on the Palm Monorail , which a good and economic way of travelling up /down the Palm , including to water park at Atlantis.
The grounds of the hotel are very well maintained and presented . The infinity pool is great as is the lazy river , great way to cool down .
The private beach with sun beds and umbrellas is also excellent , with lifeguards and great assistants sorting out beds and umbrellas. A special word of thanks to Mohsin , one of the hotel beach guys , who always ensured our umbrella was in the prime location for shade/sun , adjusting it several times during the day . Thanks.
As with check-in, check-out was done efficiently and pleasantly .
We will definitely be back

This is hands down the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. We spent a week here in September, and everything about our experience was flawless. The hotel’s location is very central, just a 15-20 minute ride from most major attractions (I recommend using the Careem app for taxis—it’s easy and affordable).

From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond. We didn’t have to lift a finger—they took care of everything for us, and nothing was too much trouble.

The food was exceptional. We stayed on a half-board basis, and the restaurant was never too crowded during our visits. There was always a wide selection of fresh dishes. Keep in mind that drinks aren’t included with dinner, which we knew in advance, but it’s good to note for others. We also had the option to dine at the hotel’s Indian restaurant, which I highly recommend.

The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean. We were lucky enough to receive a complimentary upgrade, which was a lovely gesture. The beds were incredibly comfortable, with fresh towels and bottled water provided daily. As part of our honeymoon stay, the staff went above and beyond on two occasions: once, we returned to find our room beautifully decorated with snacks, and another time, they surprised us with a photo of us printed on edible chocolate. These thoughtful touches really made our stay special.

The infinity pool is large and offers stunning views. We never had trouble finding sunbeds as we’re early risers, but it can get busier later in the morning. However, the staff were always on hand to help, and turnover was quick. You can order food and drinks directly to your sunbed, which was convenient, though we also brought our own water and snacks without any issue, as the poolside restaurant can be a bit pricey for everyday dining.

There’s no entertainment at the hotel, but they do have themed nights at the restaurant. There’s also a lovely bar with a great selection of drinks, and the staff there were fantastic.

Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. It was our first time in Dubai, and we’ll definitely be returning—and without a doubt, staying here again.

Just got back from a week in this gorgeous hotel. Right from the moment we stepped out of the car we were made to feel welcome.
I literally cannot fault this hotel in terms of location and amenities. We stayed in a studio apartment and were offered an upgrade to another room ranging from 300 - 600 AED per day which we declined. The room itself is spotless and well equipped with a kitchenette so you could prepare food if you wished. Tea and coffee are included but the items in the fridge you have to pay for and they are expensive. The Nakeel Mall is literally over the opposite side of the road where you can get essentials from Waitrose and Marks and Spencer if you wish. Our room was on the 6th floor and didn’t offer a good view but we weren’t there to sit on the balcony all day.
Breakfast and lunch were of a very high standard and the staff were very attentive and made sure you had plenty of tea and coffee.
We are in the Khyber restaurant one night and had the set menu which was included in our half board option. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about what foods to choose depending on your preferences to spicy food. Please be aware that drinks are not included and can be pricey.
Dukes bar was a lovely place to relax in the evening but again drinks were very expensive.
Outside space is well designed and flows beautifully. The lazy river was not in use during our stay wasn’t in operation due to being repaired but didn’t worry us as work has to be done.
The pool area is vast and we loved not having to rush down to grab a bed. There are plenty to choose from all day!
The pool was lovely and not overcrowded. Unfortunately I couldn’t enjoy it fully as the depth is 1.6 and I’m panicky in water I can’t quite touch the bottom of so had to rely on my husband a lot.
All in all I loved this hotel and would most definitely return again.

Room:
The room was perfect for our needs. Everything was available in the kitchen, the living area etc. was very large, you could spread out and enjoy your time. The only thing that takes some getting used to is the very dark bathroom due to the black tiles, you can't see much here and the water pressure was also on the lower limit, but otherwise we would take this room again at any time.

Restaurant & Bar:
We booked the room with breakfast, so the review is purely based on breakfast. You could have breakfast on the ground floor or on the 15th floor and it was great, especially the view on the 15th floor. The buffet was plentiful and I don't know what I or we were missing. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The buffet on the 15th floor is smaller, but you were immediately informed of this, if something was missing just say so and they would get it.
The bar on the 1st floor of the building also had a nice and cozy atmosphere for a drink in the evening, very good quality drinks and nice staff.

Service:
We had no complaints, but one or two requests were answered immediately and in a friendly manner. Even when leaving the hotel, someone was there immediately to open the door and ask for a taxi. Service was really first class.

Pool & Beach:
Very clean and well-maintained, it was constantly being cleaned and the wet spots removed. The tiles were really non-slip according to European standards, even when they were wet, I would say.
The sand is a bit coarser but still very fine to walk on. Because of the location on the inside of the palm tree, there were no waves, which was much to the delight of our children, who were able to play by themselves in the water without being afraid of high waves. The water is very shallow and you can safely swim your laps. You couldn't really cool off because the water was very warm. There were enough loungers for the most part, unless you arrive too late, then you have to wait...above all, you don't manage to clear reserved loungers here, sometimes not for half the day. A few small fish swim around but if you really want to marvel at the fish world, you have to snorkel somewhere else. Towels were unavailable twice or were only delivered later, this should be improved.
It was a little laughed at, but it was still a great thing that the hotel had an indoor pool on the 14th floor. The children and we were able to relax here after a shopping trip with a drink and in the pool and enjoy the view of the skyline.

Really great stay at the Dukes. Our first time here and would definitely come back. The housekeeping staff (particularly Sunita and Elinor) were fabulous and always made up our bed with towels shaped like animals for our little boy’s amusement. The food was really really good. Buffet breakfasts were always very tasty and the restaurant staff (particularly Akhil) were lovely and couldn’t do enough for you.

Our only negative about the hotel was the fact that it isn’t made clear on the website that when booking for 2 adults and 1 child that you need to upgrade your room to have an additional bed for your little one. Our holiday provider hadn’t made this clear and we were met with a very costly upgrade bill when we reached the hotel unless we wanted our 6 year old to share our king sized bed. Quite disappointing and apparently this is ‘usual for the emirates’ but isn’t something that was made clear and not something we would have opted for had we have known in advance.

Pool facilities were amazing and drinks options by the pool were great, albeit very very expensive compared to the UK.

Had a fabulous stay at Dukes The Palm. All the staff were wonderful from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Special thanks to Jane on reception who made us feel so welcome with her lovely smile she was very informative and arranged our perfect room with an early check-in, which we were very grateful of. Our room was perfect, very clean, comfortable and spacious. The hotel has a great infinity pool but we choose the sunbeds on the private beach and were waited on by the hotel staff who were very attentive. We ate at the Ula Restaurant our first night which had an amazing atmosphere with a DJ playing great sounds. Breakfast in the Great British restaurant had a good variety but was a little busy as the restaurant on the 15th floor was temporarily closed. We would definitely like a return stay.

Overall compared to other 5 star hotels we have stayed in Dubai sadly this one falls short.

The good stuff, I emailed ahead to make them aware it was my hubbies 50th birthday, to which they decorated the room and gave a cake. We also upgraded with a balcony. Again appreciated!

We were taken to our room by Akram and he was great at filling in the missing pieces from check in, ie log on to WiFi.

We arrived at 1am, reception basically gave us no information it felt rushed.

Our room was good, compact but enough for our needs all week. Small complaint, day one we had to call around 4pm to be given towels as no housekeeping had yet taken place and we were going out.

We were full board, so sampled all meals, as most hotels it’s down to personal preference but I would say decent choice, not on the scale of other Dubai hotels, where there are plenty.

Breakfast is busy around 10am when we went most mornings, I loved sitting in the garden area however it was by far the worst area for service and organisation, dreadful. They were all headless chickens reacting (slowly), trying to get a cup of tea and coffee let alone at the same time with milk was a massive ask!! Often the table had salt but no pepper and no sugar. Small details but important.

The pool area we really enjoyed, always lots of beds available and comfortable. The staff really went out of their way to get you an umbrella move it if needed. The water was freezing! The view at the pool was great.

The toilets at the pool a disgrace, floor a hazard always wet and just upkeep not good, toilet roll lacking at times.

WiFi is poor we did ask reception because we wanted to FaceTime or WhatsApp to be told wrongly they are both banned in Dubai and all we could do is zoom.

Location on the palm is perfect, right across from the mall and Aura. The area is ideal.

Overall I would say 6/10

From the moment we arrived at Dukes The Palm, A Royal Hideaway Hotel, we were treated to an exceptional experience. The valet parking team greeted us with warm smiles and friendly service, setting the tone for what would be an amazing stay. Every staff member we encountered throughout our visit carried that same warmth, with smiles that instantly made us feel at home.

Our check-in experience was equally wonderful, thanks to Mansour, who welcomed us with genuine hospitality. We were also fortunate enough to meet the incredible Hnin, who went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. She arranged a beautiful room with a stunning view and created a thoughtful birthday setup that made our celebration truly special.

Whenever we had any questions or needed assistance, the team was always quick to respond and resolve anything we needed. Hnin, in particular, made our Dubai experience one to remember.

The breakfast each morning was outstanding, offering an impressive variety of dishes. The pool areas were immaculate, with perfectly tempered pools and an abundance of floaties available for the lazy river, making relaxation effortless.

One detail that really stood out was the hotel’s dedication to beauty and freshness. The fresh flowers throughout the property were always in pristine condition, and I was amazed to learn that they were regularly changed every Saturday. However, throughout our one-week stay, the staff ensured no flower ever looked less than perfect—an impressive attention to detail that added to the overall ambiance.

Housekeeping was another highlight of our stay. The staff kept our room spotless each day, going above and beyond by tidying up shoes, organizing personal items, and restocking everything to ensure comfort. Their dedication truly made a difference.

On our final day, Hnin once again exceeded our expectations by preparing a special gift in our room and even arranging breakfast boxes for our flight, making our departure as memorable as our stay.

Every department we interacted with—from the bar staff, valet, security, and guest relations, to the reception, restaurant, and housekeeping teams—left a lasting impression on us. The effort, care, and smiles of everyone we met made this a vacation we will never forget.

We were also touched by the thoughtful gesture of being gifted little Dukes The Palm teddies as a memento of our time at the hotel.

Thank you to everyone at Dukes The Palm, A Royal Hideaway Hotel, for making our stay such a wonderful and cherished experience. We can't wait to return!

Such an amazing hotel... Our experience at the Dukes, was the best we have had. The hotel is spotless, the staff are inviting, well spoken, pleasant and extremely friendly. The food in the restaurant was very nice, lots of different dishes to try.. We loved that it wasn't overly busy and there was enough room and food for everyone.
We were thrilled to hear that we had received a room upgrade to a one bedroom apartment, it was huge! 1 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, a lounge, kitchen and 2 balconies, we felt like royalty. In the room you have all the toiletries you need, which helps, if like us you only had hand luggage. Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, Hand Wash, and Mouth Wash, plus flannels, towels and 2 x robes, which were the best robes ever! Also included in the room was a safe and hairdryer (not the best if you have long hair). In the kitchen, there is everything you need, from a washing machine to plates and cutlery, as well as a coffee machine stocked on a daily basis with pods, sugar etc. Would recommend taking your own tea bags though. There are also drinks, pots of sweets, nuts and chocolate on the side but these are chargeable.
The hotel is set off the main road with a drive leading up to the entrance which is pretty special. I would say this is maybe an issue for any disabled person, if you wanted to leave the hotel and visit the Mall opposite as the driveway is steep and the path width quite small but once on the main road, the path is fine with crossings.
Out the back, you go through the restaurant seating area and head down to the infinity pool, fountain and lazy river, again access for any wheel chair users would be a little difficult. Once there, the view is magical, the pool, wonderful and big, lots of sunbed, no issues with having to reserve although people did. It was safe, with security guards at the entrances. The pool bar was great and waiters roller skated over to ask for your drinks order. Housekeeping pool staff, moved beds or parasols around, they just couldn't do enough for you.
Access to the private beach is by the pool, the sand is white, the sea is warm with small fish swimming around you and if you're lucky you may see jellyfish, although they have a sign saying the sting causes excruciating pain lol.
As this hotel is at the start of the palm, expect trips into the mainland to take between 30-45 minutes by taxi. If you wanted to go into the palm, use the monorail, which takes you all the way to the Atlantis hotel and waterpark and is cheap at £15 return for two people.
Everything about this hotel was excellent, couldn't fault it and we are now looking to book again for Nov 24..
So happy!!

Dubai, you’ve truly been amazing! 🌟 It was the perfect winter escape, just the vitamin sea we needed. With temperatures in the 30s every day, it was nothing short of paradise. We stayed at Dukes The Palm Hideaway Resort, and it was everything we could’ve hoped for. The rooms were beautiful and well-equipped with a hairdryer, iron, Elemis shampoo & conditioner, and tea/coffee facilities. The mini fridge stocked with chargeable drinks was a nice touch, and the room was cleaned daily with bottles of water provided. 💧

The food options were absolutely exceptional, especially with our half-board package! 🍽️ The pool areas were pristine, and the sunbeds were incredibly comfy—perfect for relaxing. Plus, we loved the private beach, offering a tranquil spot to unwind. The views and ambiance were truly special, and the atmosphere was enhanced by the soothing music. 🎶

The staff went above and beyond, always friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble! 🌟 As for the drinks, they cost about £15 each, which is expected in Dubai, but worth it for the experience. 🍹

Must-visit places in Dubai include The Palm’s The View, the shopping malls, the Marina, JBR, and Bla Bla (rooftop bar & beach club)—all unforgettable! 🏙️

We flew with Emirates from Manchester, and they are truly on another level when it comes to service and comfort. ✈️ Now, it's time to pack up and head home, but we’ll definitely be back! 💖
