Dukes was such a lovely hotel on the palm that doesn’t break the bank. Staff upon check in were wonderful, so friendly with my daughter and even gave us a slighter bigger room than expected! Our room was super clean, comfy bed, lovely bathroom and toiletries. Restaurant was nice, maybe a little more selection on food but it was tasty and we managed ok! Drinks a little pricy at 40 AED for a child’s apple juice. Pool area was fantastic. Clean, incredible view and a nice chilled pool. We loved the lazy river and spent a good few hours enjoying it here. Overall we will definitely return and think it’s a great value hotel for what we paid.

Just returned from 10 day stay. The hotel was fantastic, spotlessly clean with hardworking and amazing staff. We were half board so had evening meal included. The food was superb kudos to all the chefs and waiting staff. Special shout out to Kiran our waiter who was attentive and pleasant and an absolute star to us during our stay. Also to our room attendant, Lin, who did an excellent clean of our room always making sure we had sufficient supplies. We really enjoyed our stay and will return.

I asked at the reception before paying if there was a SPA with Sauna and Steam, they said yes. After 20 minutes I discover there is only a room for massage!!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable experience! They didn't want to give me the money back and also they didn't offer me anything in exchange to their mistake. Be careful when you speak to Nisha!!!!!

Good hotel in the main; room clean, although missed room cleaning one day. Water from shower collected on floor more than ran down drain. But spotless when cleaned. Comfortable beds and food good. Good quiet hotel, able to rest plenty even at busy pool side. Only criticism was some of beach bar service not really that good one day. Though food & service not as good here as same restaurant up stairs . Got a good stocked gym for almost every exercise you would do for work out as well. Wellness area didnt use but looks good.

First of all let me start with the positives : Stunning pool, lazy river and beach area. Never tried the Ula. Yes you need to get to the pool early or you wont get a lounger Very good housekeeping team. Cleaning everywhere to a very high standard. My room was a real non smoking. The bed and bedding were really good. Elemis refillables available in the bathroom. So so : Studio is VERY small and too many furniture. feels crammed. Bought full board. Lunch a la carte from set menu which changes every 3rd day. Good choices, only from 1 till 3 pm ( in room information book gives wrong times as 12:30 till 3:00 pm !!! ) Buffet dinner should be themed ( Asian, Arabic, Italian ) Despite a few different options, same dishes almost every night, mostly pasta and Indian. Nice choice of salads though. Food always on the colder side apart from items you get cooked on request. Had to get help from the concierge: pretty disastrous. I was asked to come back 4 times to get my transfer to the airport confirmed with provider. What's the point of a concierge if they dont take ownership of our request ? Received a phone call out of the blue on my last evening, someone from the hotel, speaking French, who never introduced themselves or their position, asking for feed back for my stay??? Upon check in, a couple ahead of me were asked for AED 2000, I was myself asked for AED 1500. No consistency there. It will take up to 2 weeks to get it back. Came back a week ago, still waiting. I like the proximity of the mall, 6 minutes walk away. Dont think I will go back.

We also regret to learn of the difficulties you encountered in your interaction with our receptionist and please accept our apologies for this experience As in the majority of hotels worldwide, our policy is to request a credit card security deposit that is not a payment and only guarantees that there are funds available to pay for any charges incurred. This amount is usually 'blocked' on an account but not actually debited. The pre-authorisation is usually removed between 5 - 10 working days afterwards depending on your bank. Thank you, nevertheless, for highlighting our strategic location with easy access to the beach. We are also delighted that you were able to make the most of your time by the pool. Thank you for highlighting the service you received from our housekeeping team and for appreciating our high standards. Very beautiful hotel, delicious breakfasts, and awesome beach and pool. Why do I give 4 and not 5? Exceptional service: we did not change bed linen, only remade the bed; did not properly remove the garbage; a guy in the lobby who gets high from the fact that he makes people wear a mask in general deserves a separate review; at the entrance to the lobby there is an annoying man who imposes their hotel taxi on everyone who goes out. This is where the negatives end, otherwise I highly recommend this hotel.
