We booked this via OYO as a complimentary stay. I was able to refer OYO to several friends, and their successful sign-ups rewarded me points. Thus giving me the chance to book Lumbini for free. The hotel was a little hard to locate as it was tucked in a quiet spot in the city. The nearest metro to Lumbini is Al Ghubaiba. We probably walked to the hotel for a good 10-15 minutes. Check-in was a breeze. But reception had to keep our UAE IDs throughout our stay. But we were able to get ours back when we went out for dinner. No breakfast was included for our free stay, which was fine. So we ordered food from their in-house restaurant. Sandwiches were quite good and reasonably-priced. Room was quite spacious. Living space was quite roomy but the TV wasn’t working. The bed was comfy and the blankets were thick enough to sustain the cold temperature. AC unit, by the way, was in good working condition. It blasted cool air, which we loved, given Dubai’s summer heat. The downside to this room was the bathroom, as it had an unpleasant odor. Not sure where it came from, but it just smelled so bad. Also, the shower only had hot water as an option. It was hard to bathe without cold water running. I could barely wash my skin and hair because the water was super hot. But we liked that they still provided complimentary towels and toiletries. Staff were courteous and nice. They no longer charged me when I requested for a glass of hot water (for drinking) to be delivered to the room. I liked the rustic vibe of the whole establishment. If you ever feel like staying in an Arabic-style lodging (architecture, furnitures, fixtures and all), consider checking-in here.

Great location close to the river and river transport. VERY nice staff and helpful. Front desk was great, even ran outside to find us a taxi when we checked out. We were treated very well and LOVED the restaurant food. Would definitely return.

Had a wonderful visit to this amazing restaurant in Dubai this week.. was literally blown away by such wonderful Nepalese cuisine paired with professional service.. They have amazing dishes with Neapalese twists.. our favorite ones were sadheko momo( dumplings marinated with tangy spices and herbs), Newari Khaja sets( ethnic Nepalese tribes of Kathmandu and their cuisine), and Nepalese thali set( assorted set of Nepalese cuisines). Atmosphere is wonderful during weekends and if you love weekdays will be nice as well... space is nice and cozy.. Special thanks to Aruna and sajita for memorable service. Will back again...

Been in Lumbini Dream Garden this afternoon for lunch. Its a newly opened hotel in Dubai with 11 antique rooms starting 270 AED onwards and a clean and crisp dining area with authentic and contemporary Nepalese and Indian dishes. We had lunch for two and the price was so reasonable that we wrapped up within AED. Aruna our server was excellent in Anticipating our need during our lunch as we literally need not to ask for anything as everything was well looked after. They have beautiful outdoor seating in both front and back of the house. The area is clean and well maintained. Highly recommended for the travelers to try this place. Can’t wait to try their wonderful Buffalo Choila( smoked buffalo meat marinated in authentic Nepalese spices) soon!! Great experience!!
