An excellent stay, comfortable beds, a great shower and a modern clean room. I stayed in a room with a balcony overlooking the city and enjoyed it thoroughly. Taxi or car is required as it is 10 to 40 minutes from the Dubai mall for example depending on traffic, but so worth it. Quiet and relaxing as a whole historic ship to explore.

We had an absolutely amazing tour of the ship with Brendan Russel Clarke today. It's just sensational! Brendan is a walking encyclopedia and knows everything about the history of the ship. The tour could have been 24 hours longer - it was so exciting, entertaining and educational. 100% recommendation! Thank you Brendan - today was a highlight of our holiday here in Dubai!

We stayed two nights pre-cruise and one night post-cruise in a standard cabin and a suite on second stay. We ate dinner the first night and breakfast on two mornings and found the quality of the food more than acceptable. There are areas of the ship that are empty, Dubai Duty Free? And signage is very poor to get around the ship and find outside areas. Special mention to the lady who checked us in on both occasions, unable to remember her name, keep thinking Mary Jane, but from the Philippines with a very young family. She is a credit to the hotel, professional and welcoming.

We had an incredible experience exploring the historic QE2 and being given a guided tour by the knowledgeable guide Craig. We had a buffet dinner at the Lido restaurant afterwards which truly exceeded our expectations in terms of variety and quality of dishes. I have been in Dubai for a bit over a week, and this has certainly been my highlight. If you're interested in history or in classic ocean liners, or just good food, this is absolutely not to be missed. This was also very reasonably priced (AED 150 including the tour and endless amazing food) compared to other experiences we've had in the city.

Please only stay here if your desperate, the rooms are ok for the money however their is limited on board fertilities and their is nothing to do near by. The staff I found helpful they are very nice. However management needs replacing as they clearly have zero understanding for quality, let’s just say if you like microwave ready meals you’re going to love the restaurants on board. The food is shocking and the pool and gym is disgusting, let’s put it this way without being an iconic ship, if it was just a hotel on land they would be in liquidation . I feel sorry for anyone who spends a first night in Dubai here as they will think that Dubai is downmarket. Trust me everywhere in Dubai is pretty awesome but this place just lets the place down, it’s docked in a place with zero restaurants or shops for 2 miles and the food on board is limited to very cheap ingredients and very poor cooking. I stayed on my final night hoping to have a swim and also sunbath but no sun beds available on board and the swimming pool is the size of a bath tub. Very disappointing has ruined my last day in Dubai I will never stay on a ship ever again has put me off for life.

Tour by itself was good to know about the ship and how it functioned in prime, but time wasn't sufficient for taking pictures at deck or captain's room. They get locked the moment we step out. The open areas in decks have no maps on what is setup to explore, its just walk and get back. A little more detail around would help. Food is ok, not many options for vegetarians. Felt a bit over priced for the experience.

Dear Kishore D, thank you for taking the time to share your experience of your QE2 tour and dine. We appreciate your feedback and we apologize for any inconvenience you encountered during your visit. We understand that the limited time for taking pictures on the deck and in the captain's room was disappointing. We will take your suggestion regarding providing more information and maps for the open areas into consideration to enhance the exploration experience. We also appreciate your feedback about the vegetarian options and the pricing. Your comments will be shared with our team for review. Thank you for choosing Queen Elizabeth 2, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Best regards, Ghazi Azzam Front Office Manager

In 1967 as a young boy, I saw the QE2 at Clydebank immediately before she was launched. Ever since, I have always wanted to be on her and finally fulfilled my dream. The ship herself is everything I hoped for (and for me gets 5 stars) but the setting and as a consequence, the whole experience, was very disappointing. She is berthed in the docks which is about a 40 minute taxi-ride away from 'central' Dubai and most other things tourists would like to visit. It is literally in an industrial setting with nothing (other than extensive building works for new roads) nearby, so having the option of taking a stroll for a cup of coffee or anything is totally out of the question. All in all, I found this to be a sad final chapter for one of the most gracious and luxury ships ever to set sail

Dear Garsh127, Thank you for choosing Queen Elizabeth 2 for your recent stay and for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are delighted to hear that the ship itself met your expectations and that you had a memorable experience onboard. We understand that the location of the ship was not as convenient as you had hoped. Being berthed in the docks, it does require a taxi ride to reach the central areas and tourist attractions of Dubai. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Your feedback regarding the lack of nearby amenities and the industrial setting has been duly noted. While we cannot change the current location of the ship, we appreciate your comments and understand the importance of having local facilities easily accessible to our guests. We will take your feedback into consideration as we continue to enhance the overall experience for our valued guests. Thank you once again for your valuable feedback. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Queen Elizabeth 2 in the future. Best regards, Ghazi Azzam Front Office Manage

A very interesting tour of the ship. Craig, the tour guide, was knowledgeable and presented the information in an interesting way with good humour mixed in. He was warm, welcoming and professional. It would have been 5 stars if the hospital of the ship was part of the tour as I am a nurse and interested in this, and one of my relatives would have liked to see the engine room. Hopefully, these will be included in time.

A roomy, pleasant cabin with a view. Wonderful, filling breakfast in the restaurant. Lucy at the checkin desk who was very friendly and efficient, and who remembered us on our return visit. The location is fairly central but very quiet, and only a few minutes in a taxi from the airport, and to/from the shopping centres. We also had the historic tour of the boat, thanks Brendan. We are planning on another stay on our next trip to Dubai. Michael and Catherine, Brisbane,
